"The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, parking was easy and the cost was very reasonable. The only issue was that there were fruit flies in the room throughout our stay. We couldn’t figure out where they were coming from, and they didn’t go away. It was a little unpleasant, so it might be worth checking the room for a source and making sure there isn’t an issue with drains or food waste."

"Motel was functional. Located near retail park, so good for certain types of restaurants and supermarket, but too far to comfortably walk into town. Breakfast was good, though space was limited. Room was clean and comfortable, though the handle on the toilet was very fragile plastic and broke on us and there was no maintenance on site to fix it in the following 24 hours. Good road links nearby both to the freeway and the road into Algonquin park, so excellent base for touring."

"Nice and cosy location with a beautiful lake view. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, I would say it was an acceptable value for money. However, the property seems to need some serious maintenance and repairs, and perhaps even a renovation. Surprisingly, the restaurant was closed on our first night. We had a chance to try it on the second night, though, and the food was good enough. Our room door was stuck, so opening and closing it was not easy. The indoor swimming pool was also not clean enough, although the outdoor one was in better condition. The hand soap in our washroom ran out after the first day and was never replaced. Another issue was the soundproofing. There was very little privacy, and we could easily hear noise from the rooms on both sides. Overall, the location and the staff were good, but the property definitely needs some attention and maintenance."

"We enjoyed our weekend at Carines cabin! The cabin and outhouse were very clean and honestly had everything you needed. It was quiet and relaxing. Listening to the river while hanging out or falling asleep was very nice. We went down to the river a few times but it is quite steep though manageable! Even though the main house is near by, we were very comfortable and had tons of privacy! I’d definitely recommend! Activity wise, Brooks falls is very close and a lovely little hike! Clear lake was also close by and very nice. For anyone wanting a minimalist little get away to unwind, I’d totally recommend!!"

"L’emplacement est parfait. Stationnement libre, les chambres sont spacieuse et super petit plus pour les motocyclistes, le personnel nous ajoutait deux petites serviettes pour essuyer notre moto le matin. Vraiment une belle attention. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour à cet endroit."
