"Loved this hotel. It's was conveniently located and in close proximity to what we wanted to do during our very short stay - explore the main square and environs and visit the Living Gingerbread Museum.
We arrived before the hotel's scheduled check-in time but the front desk staff informed us our room was ready and allowed us to take possession. We did not incur an additional fee.
The room was so cozy and comfortable. We loved the warm esthetic accomplished by mixing white walls with partial exposed brick, accompanied by soft, warm, adjustable, lighting from a floor and table lamp.
The bed was so comfortable and we got a great night's sleep.
The bathroom clean and functional. We especially liked the rain shower hand coupled with a handheld wand.
The included breakfast wasn't anything spectacular but it was more than good enough with a mix of the standards - coffee, tea, juice, bread, pastries, a selection of cured meats, eggs made to order, etc.
The only bad thing about our stay at this hotel was that we had to leave.
It's unlikely we'll return to Torun but if we did, we'd definitely stay at this hotel again."
"The historic building and our room were lovely. However it needs to be mentioned that that building has low ceilings and no air conditioning. I was disappointed that the reception staff did not let me know that as I had booked an air conditioned room. The weather was hot and although they provided a standard fan it was only adequate.
Having said that the Polish breakfasts were excellent (so much food and cooked to order). And the location is perfect to explore the old city and the riverfront. My husband used the sauna and found it excellent."
"Great stay . The hotel is very close to old town and all attractions . Parking 45 PLN, easy access to elevator . The room was very clean and spacious . The staff helpful ."
"A lovely hotel, beautifully converted in a traditional building. Our room had an interesting street -scene mural on one wall, which added to the historical touches within the building.
An extensive breakfast set us up for sightseeing each day, plenty of choices including local options. We couldn't fault it in any way.
The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. One lady went above and beyond when helping us with a question about bus tickets to get to the railway station - she volunteered to buy the tickets for us and leave them with a colleague on reception so we could collect them when checking out. This was a lovely gesture and much appreciated - she said she didn't want payment, but we left the money at reception the next day. Many thanks for a memorable stay in this beautiful town."
"This is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The only issue is no lift to that floor but the desk clerk was very willing to help with our bags. The room was very comfortable, cool to my standards(being an American) and the village of Torun is absolutely charming. I throughly enjoyed my visit there and intend to return to both the village and hotel."
