"Oh my oh my!! This was our 6th hotel in Sardinia and the very best by far!!! The room was spacious, the staff was gracious and the location superb!! Treat yourself and stay here!!!"
"From the moment my wife and I arrived it was like coming home to family. From the warm greetings from Anna and Tomasso we were led to our suite that was nestled amongst the natural preserve of trees native to Sardinia. The courtyard was tranquil and cozy and felt more like a community than a hotel.
Our choice to purchase the half board was a great decision as both our breakfast and dinner were included in our stay. There we were greeted by the one and only Pietro and his wonderful staff and our waitress Cristina was a joy. Afterwards we had drinks outside and we were entertained by the beautiful voices of Marta and Alessia whose talent is nothing short of Broadway performances. Overall a spectacular experience!"
"The owner, Pasquale, was extremely friendly and assisted in making our trip wonderful, along with his adorable dogs, with restaurant suggestions and great conversation. The complimentary breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the service was warm and inviting! The room was comfortable and cozy. The property's vineyards and orchards were breathtaking. The pool was glorious overlooking the property. The location was nearby some beautiful sites and a superb restaurant. It's a great spot for exploring Alghero, Bosa and the gorgeous coast. Highly recommend!"
Villa Rujia with garden and exclusive swimming pool 5 minutes from the sea
6/10 Okay
"The pool is a dream, perfect temperature and a good size. The outdoor living is perfect. But we struggle to see how the villa has been given 5 stars. The facilities are extremely dated and looks like someone rushed to paint the walls to make it look fresh but they obviously dont know how to paint in straight lines. The kitchen is not very equipped with only 2 mugs for 5 of us and not enough glasses. There wasnt even an oven! The bathroom is in need of an update, climbing in and out of a dated non working jacuzzi is not user friendly. The toilet system is also intermittent, sometimes works sometimes not. When you use the shower the whole bathroom gets soaked. We were issued with white towels and bed linen for our stay, we didnt get offered a fresh set so, ended up washing them mid stay myself."
"Although this property is rated as a four-star hotel, our experience did not reflect that standard. The rooms were quite basic, and the beds lacked comfort. We found the staff to be largely disengaged and not particularly helpful during our stay.
Dining options were extremely limited, with only one nearby restaurant within walking distance. Throughout our five-day visit, we were unable to secure a dinner reservation at the hotel and ultimately had to rent a car to access dining options in the downtown area each evening. On the one occasion we had lunch on-site, service was very slow, and the steak we ordered was disappointing in both quality and flavor.
On a positive note, the beach is beautiful, and we were able to enjoy our vacation primarily due to the flexibility afforded by our rental car and the scenic day trips we took.
It’s also worth noting that while the hotel listing on Expedia advertises airport shuttle service, this comes at an additional cost. Guests should also be aware that there are daily fees for changing beach towels, and beach chairs incur extra charges as well."
