We stayed in a Fairmont Gold Suite. The suite was immaculate and spacious with a view of the lake, train station, towering skyscrapers and CN Tower. The selections for breakfast and the evening canapés are extensive and delicious. The lounge is a beautiful area to relax or visit with friends. Fairmont Gold Manager Louise and her team are welcoming and attentive. We can't wait to return. Thanks for another great stay.

Not worth the money
I have mixed feeling about my Gold experience stay. The room was small and the view was terrible. There was no workspace. Many outlets were unusable. I had to use kettle on the bench as a table for it instead of the cabinet that was meant for this purpose. The guy who checked me in didn't tell me about the things I should have known about, such as the canapes that were happening right when I arrived. Nor the hot tubs or pool. He asked me if I was a new guest and I said yes so he should have explained these things. The first night, they didn't do turndown service and they didn't replenish the tea bags I used. The reason I bring this up is because we shouldn't have to ask for these expected basics. This is not a 3 star hotel and for the price we pay, things should be done without asking. The lounge was ok as were the offerings. I've had better at other fairmont hotels. When I explained a few of these things to one staff member, she wasn't surprised. She actually said there was new managers or something like that and things are not organized well. Yeah.. I see that. Was woken up at 2am due to the couple next door talking and then having sex. The walls are paper thin. I could actually hear the words they were saying it was so clear. Luckily it was only one night. The lobby restaurant was a disco party for my entire stay which was irritating. I'm not sure why they think this is acceptable. I definitely didn't spend any money there due to this. I won't be back!

The valet staff were great but the Gold (exclusive) check in was incredibly poor. It took 20 mins, the member of staff could not work the computer and was quite dismissive of our frustration. When we arrived at our room we were incredibly upset. It is tiny and the bathroom is minute. Absolutely not worth the money and really wish we had chosen the 4 Seasons instead. I spoke to the check in associate but he advised all rooms were the the same size (tiny) and they had many complaints. Bitterly disappointed and won’t be back.

Spent one night at this location and wow have they done an amazing job renovating the hotel. The lobby bar and Library bar are great and a wonderful place to sit back and relax, food is good too. Rooms are large and the shower amazing. Only drawback is the room we were in we could hear the people next door using the toilet and coughing - apart from that it was great !!

Really enjoy it. I had a great time at the hotel. I will love if room service could start earlier say for example 6 am. There are a lot of travelers like me that wake up very early and have no choice if we want to take some breakfast.

We stayed in the King Gold Suite. Room was very large and well appointed. The details in the room were very nice with all the Gold accents. Fully stocked mini bar and Nespresso coffee with snacks. Marble bathroom was beautiful and bed was comfortable. Great view of the city from our room. It was quiet and the room temperature and lighting were easily controlled. Cannot say enough about the Gold lounge. Food and staff was excellent. Great atmosphere and the food and snacks were delicious. Would have no trouble returning to the Fairmont Royal York Gold experience when back in Toronto.

Stayed in expensive gold suite and the bathroom floors were filthy especially around the toilets. When I complained that the floors needed washing they simply put more bathmats down on the floor. Unacceptable!

Treat yourself stay-cation
I've stayed at the Fairmont before, but the Gold Experience adds a little extra special touch. While the room was an okay size, I found the little perks like private check-in, canapes, and a dedicated lounge, wonderful. The staff was super attentive and friendly as well. I definitely recommend giving the Gold Experience a try at least once, for a little getaway in the city.

This property is a MUST-SEE! They kept a lot of the original 1929 design and the renovation of the lobby is stunning! We were greeted with astounding service from outside the hotel to check-in. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond! We opted for the gold experience package for our anniversary and Jason upgraded our room upon arrival, has champagne delivered to our room (complimentary) and looked after every detail. Jason went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing short of amazing and highly recommend calling and speaking with him when considering this property for your next stay in Toronto!

The Fairmount Hotel went above and beyond for our stay. I had requested a few things to be done before our arrival, and boy they were done so nicely i was shocked how they pulled it off for us. We were celebrating our 6 wedding anniversary which they made super special. Had a wonderful time.
