"They put us in a room where they were fixing ac unit. Floor was wet. Tub was dirty. Sheets were dirty."

"Large stains on curtains, dirty bathroom floor and tub, a/c didn't work, bad smells in our room and throughout the hotel, pool closed for maintenance the three days we were there. The first night we stayed we called hotels.com to ask if we could cancel our third night since it was outside of the 24 hour window. The hotel said it was against policy to let anyone shorten their stay once they had checked in so we were stuck with these conditions. I am not one to leave a negative review but I was really upset with these conditions considering the 8/10 rating so I just wanted to make sure I shared more accurate information."

"The pool was really cold but otherwise our daughter enjoyed it. The staff was excellent, all very nice and helpful. The room and everything was clean however, we did see 3 cockroaches and the entire hotel was EXTREMELY outdated. "

"This is one of the nicest hotels in Topeka...Staff totally professional..it is clean! Has a bar and restaurant that serves from the bar area..Many arras that are open to watch TV or just play cards...the room we had on 1st floor had exceptionally high ceilings, really nice! The area is very accessible to event happenings. "

"Smoke detector in room was sitting on the dresser, bugs in bathroom, mold under mat in bathtub, no extra lock on door, pool was closed when we got there. Believe they had a lot of ppl complain so they reopened it, breakfast food half the time was cold. "
