It had everything we needed, was close to cafes, bars & restaurants. Lots of nice little touches throughout. Very comfy bed, & the suite felt plush & cosy. Will definitely stay there again & highly recommend to anyone going to Nelson.

Stayed in this lovely, newly refurbished motel in Collingwood recently. Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. Warm clean and close to everything

Sunsets were terrific. Very spacious.

We enjoy a lot the time at the rocks. The bath tube outside was very nice and own glowworm caves was the hit. The hosts were every helpful and friendly

An outstanding property—we absolutely loved our stay. Michelle, Stefan (and Harvey) are exceptional hosts!! Our room, the James Cook Apartment, was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, and the grounds are simply stunning. The location is perfect, with an easy 15-minute walk to the main street. Breakfast was delicious and a real highlight. We can't wait to return!

We had the family 2 bedroom unit which was a great size, had everything we needed and more. We were glad of the AC as it was a warm day and the spa bath was a bonus too

From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out we could not fault any part of our stay. We booked two rooms for a party of four, one of which has mobility issues. We were accommodated to the fullest but were also given rooms next to each other and close to the entrance of the hotel which seems like a small thing but actual meant a great deal. The rooms were clean and warm and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is pretty great too - 5 minutes walk away from Tahunanui...

We have stayed there twice now and the quality comfort cleanliness and pleasant staff are consistent.. All the important things are there but more importantly there is no skimping on the little stuff .... a vast array of teas and coffees including plunger grounds, laundry powder, laundry facilities in the unit,heated bathroom floor, big bed and the usual welcoming smile

we enjoyed listening to parrots wake us in the morning. We enjoyed the jacuzzi with beautiful views of the bay. We enjoyed the glow worm path at night. We didn't get time to do the beeches walk, use the sauna or have a massage. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had a very relaxing time there, and would enjoy returning

Located a great deal on hire car for us

We enjoyed our stay, it was lovely and clean and the most important to us was a lovely comfortable bed .Very close to town yet still had a country feel to it. Would stay again.

It was a home, and it was pet friendly and Tracey the person who owns it provided plums from her tree for us and made us very welcome
