"I recently stayed at Hyacinth Pension for a two-night trip to Tongyeong. While the view from the bay-facing rooms is lovely and there’s a charming coffee shop and gift store just down the hill, the condition of the property fell well below what was advertised. We rented a “Deluxe Duplex,” and sadly saw visible water damage, the bathroom was damp with long term mold and a rotting door. "Overall we were happy with our stay. The room was clean, well decorated and a good size. The view of the "bay" from the room and balconey was impressive. The grounds could use some straightening up I was surpired by the number of semi tropical plants it contained. The owners were friendly, responsive and spoke some English. Only drawback, the facility was advertised (and priced) as being "on the beach" however beware, its no where near a beach. "
