Close to Ueno station. Room was good, cleaned only if requested, which is fine for me. There is a very convenient coin-operated washer and dryer on the second floor. Only problem was that the sockets/outlets were too loose and disconnected while I was asleep, so one night my phone did not charge.

the room is more spacious than the average hotels，just a few blocks away from the Ueno JR main exit, which helps a lot when you are carrying luggages. the Staffs are very friendly and helpful, they were all amazing! it was definitely a comfortable stay, and we would certainly choose this hotel again.

This is a small quaint hotel. If you're looking for something by American standards then this probably isn't for you. But if you're looking for something simple to rest your head, that's clean, friendly and in an amazing spot then definitely book here.

The Staff was excellent at the hotel due to being friendly and polite, my only complaints was that the room was musty upon arrival and I had to run the air conditioning for a while to get the musty smell out of the room. plus the other thing that was bad, is that the bathroom smelled of stale urine and that smell would not go away. Security was an issue as you do not need to use a card to use the elevator and anyone can just go to a floor, I did speak to another guest who complained about room size but I got the deluxe as it was last minute and that was spacious although it is quite expensive for the standards at the hotel in terms of modern hotels.

This is my go-to place to stay in Tokyo. It's close to Ueno station and has easy access to everything you need. If you enjoy walking, you can easily get to Ameyoko, Senso-ji, Skytree, Kappabashi-dori, and even Akihabara. Staff is friendly, and it's a very unique place to stay.

Room was spacious enough to open 3 large luggages and still have floor space to walk. However, the floor itself was rather dirty (my luggage had lots of dust and dirt stuck to it). Bed and pillows were just nice for me, very comfortable and warm. The blinds were a little confusing to operate.
