Minn Machiya is a nice place to stay. Staffs are nice and helpful. Many restaurants are around. Walking distance to Machiya station. We had a good experience at Minn Machiya especially as first time in Tokyo, Japan. Thank you, Minn Machiya!

Internet Out of Service
The hotel itself is fine. Good location and close to 2 stations. Some restaurants and grocery stores nearby. However, the management of the hotel did not make any accommodation about the internet issue. The internet was out of service for at least whole week. It was out of service since I checked in and not even been fixed until my check out. I am not sure if they ever have the internet company to fix it or not. The only thing they offered was late check out at 11:00AM. Other than that, they did not make any arrangements offering alternative internet options such as WiFi egg etc. Not a good experience this time.

Excellent stay at Minn Machiya! The beds were the most comfortable we had in Tokyo. Having a small apartment was so much better than a hotel room. Getting to the accommodation was easy and there were many amenities near by. Getting in with a code worked well. The area was quiet. I would definitely stay again!

This property was very vlean, we didn't use the kitchen but it was basic and quite usable. It was spacious for Japan. Lots of light and the beds were very comfortable! The elevator is small.. .3-4 people max.We'd stay again, no issues.

Very spacious. Great view. Everything was well kept. I loved having everything I needed in just a large space. Spacious beds, washing machine, sink and kitchen area, even down to the shoe rack. Worth the price and will definitely stay again. Also tons of food choices right down the street. Convenience stores, pharmacies, even a mcdonalds. Loved this place.

Wish this property could provide storage for bags. We have 2nd booking with this property a few days apart. Have to find way to store bags. Otherwise overall this place is good considering the price they paid for.

The unit worked well for a family of 5. The pull out futon, probably is best used by kids 15 or younger as it is not long enough for anyone 5'11 or taller. Kitchen is serviceable and the refrigerator is a good size compared to many options in Japan, which can be useful for a longer stay. It isn't on the JR lines for local transit, but well served by the metro. Communication was a challenge as it is managed off-site and the check in app doesn't seem to do very well at handling all the passport scanning and other information. Do yourself a favor and just directly use the web call feature in the lobby when you arrive. Lastly there is no early check in or storage of bags for a late check out. The area doesn't seem to have a place to store bags, so if you are arriving early maybe hang around an area with bag storage before heading to this location.

Fantastic spacious room only a couple of stations outside of JR pass network, but much cheaper than comparable hotels within JR pass network. Huge range of fab restaurants on your doorstep. Highly recommended.

Place not far from Machiya Station (subway/keisei) and Machiyaekimae Station (tokyo sakura tram) if you came from narita you can take skyliner to Nippori and change to keisei line for Machiya Staff was great Good facilities Surrounded by restaurants

Big and nice room but bad service
Positive: 6 mins to subway station. Big and nice room. Quiet local neighbourhood. Lots of eatereis around. One girl can speak good English. One girl speaks Mandarin. My room can see skytree. Washer is a plus. everything is new. Some cooking utensils but they didnt look clean to me. Wifi was great. Small problems: 1. NO TV. at this pricing I find it unreasonble. 2. I dunno what service they provde? No room cleaning and you have to take your rubbish to the reception by yourself. again not reasonable at this pricing. if it is cheap it is ok but it is not cheap.ah, they do keep your luggage after check out and they do wait for you for late check in until 10.30pm 3. Hotel sign is just in front of hotel, which is not on main road, so if you cannot find the correct turn, you cannot see the sign/hotel. 4. wooden floor so when people upstairs walk/pack, we could feel the shake and they woke us up around 6am in two mornings (we stayed 4 days) Real problems: Machiya station is on the Chiyoda line only. the only tourist spot on this line is Shinjuku (30 mins away). It is common to walk 200-400 metres when you change lines in most subway stations. Sometimes you have to change twice. It was quire tiring and subway fare.is expensive when you change twice. Unless room size really matters to you or you want to hide away from someone, there are many other choices at this pricing in city centre.

We just returned from a 9 day stay, family of 4 -2 adults and 2 teens. The room we booked was very comfortable for 4 adults. There was a partition in the room where you can sleep 1 person and 4 can sleep in the room on 2 very comfortable queen size beds. The a/c worked well which is important because it is so hot right now in Japan. This area is great because it is walking distance to the train and there are plenty of places to eat with a laid back local vibe. The room itself although big for Japanese standards would be better appointed with a few extras such as, hooks or shelves in the bathroom for your toiletries and towels, full instruction on use of washing machine and water temp. We spent 7 days with very “cool/cold” water because no one told us this was something we can adjust. Lastly the refrigerator did not work efficiently. We were not able to freeze anything and we were limited with what we bought because of this. When I addressed it with the front desk they recommended I unplug the unit for 2 hrs however I had food that would require refrigeration so as not to spoil, this was therefore not a good option. Check in was great, as well as check out! The front desk gals were super friendly and actually I started communicating with them from the US prior to arriving in Japan for advise on how to get to the hotel and they were very receptive ! We arrived at Narita, then took the skyliner express toNapori. From Napori we took a cab to the hotel which cost 10 bucks US

Good for family
Hotel Ikidane is not in the center of Tokyo but it is a 10-minute walk to the Machiya subway station that takes you directly to any part of the city center. We really enjoyed our stay here. 1) being slightly away from the city center meant we enjoyed some more local life with restaurants not inundated by tourists. 2) the hotel itself is newer and clean. The room was comfortable. Our bedroom/sitting area was separated from the kitchen, which was also separated from the bathroom area. I liked that. The only suggestion I have is for the hotel to include a dresser and some more towel racks but those are minor issues that I'm sure management can handle. Hotel Ikidane was very reasonably priced for what we got. I would highly recommend a small family stay here.

We love the price and the promiximity of the hotel to the Chiyoda and Kensei train lines. It's also located 2-3 train stops from some of the biggest cultural sites in Tokyo. Lots of little restaurants and markets nearby, too.

While the location is incredibly convenient (~500m walk to Machiya station), the residential "hotel" is hardly accommodating for tourists, as they hardly provide any services for guests e.g. room keeping or a directory for what's nearby...

Very clean and big space
Overall it’s a really good hotel!! Very big space and clean bathroom. Perfect for families!
