I know a lot of people write these reviews but this one genuinely one of my best stays. As a solo traveller, the place was clean, organized and had a bunch of toileteries for convenience. I was absolutely amazed by the awesome dining options aswell. Perfect for solo traveller or backpacking with friends
It was a very nice place with all the amenities available. The pods were cozy and spacious. Everything was in walking distance from konbini to scramble crossing
Stayed here twice, perfect for a late night sleep. Super clean so smooth. Love this spot. Miss the last train in Shibuya just book this room. Staff 24/7 so can check in even if for just a couple hours till morning. Amazing!
The place is so clean and comfortable. I was in Tokyo for an overnight layover so it was perfect. It was an easy walk from the train station.

The bed was very comfortable and the overall hotel was good. The problem i encountered was with the showers. Two of them were stuck on cold water. One was stuck on hot water and one was ok. Other than that the place is ok. Your about 10 minute walk from the scramble.
The stay was nearly perfect. The comfortableness, privacy and quietness of my bunk is spot on. The only thing I could pick about is the little smell of the restroom area.
Good place to stay in a busy area. Lots to explore and very close to transit. The only problem is that it is cramped. Not just your capsule but the entire floor. It is hard to unpack or get items, its time consuming. You will have most of your belongings in a locker and a few items in your capsule.
This place is SO convenient and cheap. It's well maintained and comfortable. Sakuragaokacho is a pretty neighbourhood: there's a street near this hotel that's maybe my favourite in Tokyo so far.
My first and only capsule experience - it's just not for me, but I can't fault commun SHIBUYA.

Liked: Staff & service
For what it is (capsule style hotel) there was a bit more room then expected. Staff were helpful and ran me through the process despite not knowing much Japanese. Only issue I had were the noises made for the neighbouring rooms.
The bathroom and the locker room are separated from the bedroom, which is nice but lack of space for organizing luggage. Only one bathroom were available for the entire floor, but thankfully I didn't have to wait in line for too long to take a shower. The staff were generally helpful. The location is in the quieter side of Shibuya. A good place to stay with convenience and away from the crowds.
Good value for money. The place is pretty clean and people were not too loud when entering and exits the pods.
My biggest complain is about the locker room, it’s so narrow so access to get is not convenient.
If you’re solo on a strict budget I recommended it
There’s a washer and dryer. 300 yen is all I needed. There’s assigned locker for the slippers/shoes and larger locker for bags. Separate shower stalls, bidet toilets, and a wash room (they have prepackaged toothbrush, toothpaste, and access to any other toiletries). Pretty much everything you need is right there.
My unit was spacious enough to have my 55L travel backpack in the unit with me. There’s a mattress/cushion as the bed (pretty much sleeping on the floor). Lockbox and adjustable lighting.
Location is only a 10 min walk to the Shibuya Crossing. In a quiet area with little to no foot traffic.
I really appreciated coming back to my unit after a long day of tourist activities.
First day i walked in smelled awful came back an hour later was good.
I thought the hotel was a private room from the pics but its not. But there are like 3 locks boxes one for shoes one for luggage and one for personal stuff in your sleeping hole
Saw a random 2 inch caterpillar on my 3rd day.
well organised hostel that provides everything you need for a quick stay. of course, this is a capsule style hotel, so the bed is a small box, but here inside everything is super nicely organised: a little tv, plugs, a little box for storing things. the bathroom, locker storage, laundry, is super well organised and everything is clean. I was in the bed at the very end of the corridor, so the wifi was sometimes a little unreliable, but no drama. in walking distance to Shibuya with some restaurants, convenience stores otw. Also some vending machines with cold drinks on the route. good and cheap option for a quick stay alone I would say!
Stayed for 7 nights. Overall quite good for the price. About 20 people stay in the same hall, but there wasnt much noise during my stay. Mattress was too short and not comfortable to lay on. Luggage closets had only room for one item so there was lots of luggage that didn't fit spread along the walls in the storage room. There were 2 showers but only 1 was operative.
It looks likes on the hills if you carry big suitcases it kills you because there's are no life only small stair i walked three floors daily
Their are no any open area you wanna quick checking something i would not consider again if these prices more i get full room in nice location there

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Check-in and check-out went smoothly, although I think one of the other staffers didn't think I understood any Japanese. The capsule bed was pretty comfortable. There was a 7-11 a short walk away. The capsule had a TV that I could plug my Switch into, although it came with headphones that didn't seem to work. (...which is fine; I have some bluetooth headphones that I use to connect to my Switch.) Most of the other facilities were pretty cramped. The floor I was on had three toilets, although the dryer in the one I used didn't seem to work. (It had a button for it. *shrug*) And I had three keys: One for the shoe locker, one for the locker-room locker for storing my luggage (which I'd classify as 'mid-size,' and it was a tight fit) and one of the little locker in my capsule. All in all, it was the guy in a nearby capsule talking on his phone that kept me from sleeping, not anything the hotel did.
