Très décevant

Il faut payer pour avoir une petite serviette (2.50 € ) et 5 € pour une grande !! La salle de bain n'est pas dans la chambre, mais sur le palier et commune (jamais spécifié sur le site de réservation). La route est difficile pour arriver à l'hôtel.

Budget guest house with family rooms

We stayed here for one night in a triple, which looked just like in the pictures. The room was fairly sparse with three twin beds, a tiny table and three stools, and a wardrobe. We came during the off-season when there were very few people in the hotel, so we had our hallway to ourselves. Each hallway is named after a different European country, with the individual rooms named after major cities, which fits into the theme of the European guesthouse. In the hallway for France for example there are six guest rooms and four separate bathrooms plus a powder room. Each hallway is laid out differently, I have attached a picture of the floor plan. The beds were comfortable but the towels were scratchy. The breakfast offerings were simple but tasty. The hotel is located in a charming village dominated by the Catholic pilgrimage church at the top of the hill, and has a mountain stream running through it. The local bakery lets you indulge in breads and pastries, and features some local specialties. I would recommend this for family as there are triples on quads, which can be very hard to find when traveling in Germany. The hotel seems to have a lot of conference space and a huge dining room, so I think they are equipped for large events. This is a good choice for anybody looking for a clean room and a simple breakfast before they head out for more adventures.

Ce n'est pas un hotel

Séjour en couple avec 2 enfants. Nous étions dans une chambre avec 5 lits simples, douche et WC. Literie correct, par contre mobilier vétuste et endommagé, murs défraichis avec graffitis, douche peu pratique. Salle de jeu avec équipement tout aussi vétuste. L'accueil a été froid et assez spécial dirons nous. Petit déjeuner correct et complet, Pour autant un rapport qualité/prix très mauvais en famille. Selon nous, convient pour un séjour de groupe. En famille, il y a de nombreuses alternatives plus chaleureuses à Todtmoos et ses environs.

Preis Leistung ist unschlagbar

Viele der anderen Gäste haben sich über viele Kleinigkeiten beschwert. Was ich zwar nachvollziehen kann aber zu dem Preis sind die kleinen Mängel akzeptabel. Das Frühstück hat sehr gut geschmeckt und es wurde auch regelmäßig aufgefüllt so bald etwas alle war. Das Zimmer war zwar mit wenig Möbeln befüllt aber sauber. Die Bäder waren von der Handhabung der Dusche etwas blöd aber auch sauber und wurden jeden Tag geputzt.

Unhöflicher unfreundlicher Empfang.

Die Empfangsdame war kurz angebunden und unfreundlich bei der vergabe der Zimmer. Es ist eine Jugendherberge. Aber etwas freundlicher kann man trotzdem sein. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber ausreichend eingerichtet. Leider wird auch etwas Gastronomie vor dem Haus angeboten. Schmutzige Tische . Vom Regen weichgespülte Getränkekarten. Also wir haben dort soweit nichts genommen. Frühstück war ausreichend und soweit in Ordnung. Nur leider gab es Aufbackbrötchen, wo der leckerBäcker auf der anderen Straßenseite ist. Da wurde man neidisch auf die Brötchen.

Schlicht - Sauber - Freundlich - Günstig

Wir waren für eine Nacht im Europäischen Gästehaus. Alles war einfach und schlicht, aber sehr sauber und ordentlich geführt. Das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick auf den zentralen Platz von Todtmoos. Wäre das Zimmer - wir buchten für das letzte Wochenende im Januar - schon ab dem Vormittag leicht beheizt gewesen, hätte wir uns noch wohliger und warm gefühlt. Der Preis ist günstig, man darf nicht zuviel erwarten, aber ein Frühstück in guter Qualität kostet nicht die Welt und würde dauerhaft positiv im Gedächtnis bleiben. Dass wir ganz unkompliziert unseren Hund mitbringen konnten - Daumen nach oben. Wir können das Gästehaus empfehlen und würden auch gerne für einen Kurzaufenthalt wiederkommen.

Einfaches Hotel, Frühstück ausreichend, super Matratzen Haben Silvester dort gefeiert, Büffet hat nicht für alle gereicht, Essen war für das Geld nicht angemessen Es gab keine Handtücher im Zimmer, nur auf Verlangen. Keine Zimmerreinigung.

nette kleine idylle

Ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles vorhanden was ich brauchte. Check-in war einfach und schnell.Der Ort gibt sich viel Mühe seinen Gästen eine Reihe von kostenfreien Angeboten zu machen. Das Frühstück war ebenso zufriedenstellend. Nur der Kaffee war etwas müde. Ansonsten war es vielfältig und reichhaltig. Das Bett war bequem, extra Decken stehen zur Verfügung. Auf meiner Etage hatte jedes Zimmer sein eigenes Bad mit Dusche und Toilette mit reichlich Seife und Papier. Wer über dieses Gästehaus nur mault der sollte wohl tiefer in die Tasche greifen und anderswo Quartier suchen.

Der günstige Preis hat seinen Preis

Der Check-In hat ohne Probleme geklappt, Schlüsselübergabe und eine kurze Einführung in den Ort waren OK. Das Zimmer auf den ersten Blick schien – sehr spartanisch, aber – funktional zu sein. Im Zimmer gab es die erste Überraschung: Auf Expedia wurde das Zimmer mit Dusch angeboten, diese Zimmer gibt es jedoch nicht im Haus. Auf der Seite des Jugendgästehauses liest man versteckt auf einer Unterseite, dass sich jeweils 2 Zimmer ein Bad auf dem Flur teilen würden... dies scheint ein statistischer Wert zu sein, denn auf meinem Flur waren es 6 (mind. Doppelzimmer) und zwei Bäder. Die Bäder wurden während meines Aufenthaltes (Do-So) nicht einmal gereinigt. Grundsätzlich scheint das Hotel mit einer Besetzung von 2 Personen auszukommen. Neben dem Empfang, der fast nie besetzt war, gab es eine Dame, die den Service in der Küche während des Frühstücks betreut. Eine Person geht natürlich klaglos unter, wenn – wie beim ersten Frühstück – eine Schulklasse das Buffet leerfegt... wer zu spät kommt, schaut auf die traurigen Reste. Nachgelegt wurde leider nicht mehr. Die Nächte im Haus waren leider wenig erholsam, da der Straßenlärm von Draußen (niemand scheint sich im Ort an das Tempo-Limit der Spielstraße (!) und Zone 30 zu halte) oder die extrem hellhörigen Räume den Schlaf regelmäßig unterbrachen.

Preis- /Leistungsverhältnis top

Wir waren mit dem Hotel im Allgemeinen zufrieden. Kleines Manko: Wir mussten in kompletter Motorradausrüstung in den vierten Stock hoch laufen. Zimmer sehen ein bisschen alt aus, Betten sind aber sehr bequem besonders nach einer anstrengenden Tour. 2 Duschen mit Toilette und 1 Toilette mussten mit ca. 3 anderen Zimmernachbarn geteilt werden, was allerdings kein Problem war. Handtücher wurden gestellt. Bei den Duschen war nur das Problem, dass man ca. 10 Sekunden Wasser hatte und dann wieder auf den Knopf drücken musste. Oder man lehnt sich gegen den Knopf, damit man dauerhaft Wasser hat, was allerdings ein wenig unbequem ist. Frühstück war ok, gab zwar Aufbackbrötchen aber für eine Nacht mit Frühstück für nicht mal 30 €/Person ist das völlig in Ordnung. Allerdings waren die Tische bzw. die Stühle sehr nah an dem Hintermann, sodass man immer darauf achten musste bzw. immer vorrutschen musste, wenn jemand vorbei wollte. Zusammenfassend können wir das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen :-)

Dreadful slum

Without a doubt, the worst hotel (and I use that term loosely) I have ever stayed in. Booked a twin room with a private bathroom but when we arrived the only rooms left were with shared bathroom and WC. The staff were next to useless and with nothing else available in town we had to take the room. The towels we were given were literally rags. No bath towels, but the receptionist did offer us two small tatty hand towels each to compensate. The wifi only worked in the landing, where we had to stand with the other residents to try and pick up the weak signal. In the end we gave up. Exposed wiring in the rooms, broken sanitaryware in the toilets, dirty dingy rooms ... and not a smoke detector in sight. Avoid at all costs.
