About this property

Trewinnick Lodge – Hot Tub & Coastal Views

  • AT A GLANCE Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms - 2 x king beds and 1 x twin bed Private wood fired HOT TUB Lovely views down across fields and out to sea Dog friendly with acres of fenced fields for your dogs to enjoy off lead Private outdoor space and ample parking Accessible layout throughout the ground floor and step-free access in and out of the property Located at the top of Trevillet Valley, your chosen accommodation will provide you with wonderful views out across the neighbouring fields and headlands towards the sea.   This super 3 bedroom property has a *wood fired hot tub, private outdoor space and parking as well as access to acres of fenced fields behind the lodge where your dogs can roam and explore off lead....it's their holiday too! Short breaks are available out of season from £250 per night - minimum 3 nights. Overlooking Bossiney Bay, Trevillet Valley is located between Tintagel and Boscastle on the north Cornish coast.....aka, King Arthurs country.  Superb sunsets can be experienced from Trewinninck Lodge in the main season particularly and is just one of the reasons why so many guests return year after year. The nearest pub to Trewinnick Lodge is the rather fabulous Tintagel Brewery  (1.3 miles away).  Here you can book a brewery tour sampling a few of their best known ales.  Booking in advance is required and the tour costs £12.50 per person (as @ April 2026). Also at the brewery you will find Chef Pete's bar and bistro plus gift shop.  The beautiful coastal footpath walk accessed at nearby Trewarmett to Trebarwith Strand will showcase some of the county’s most beautiful scenery.  This moderately challenging circular walk is 3 - 4 miles long and the dog friendly, Port William pub in Trebarwith Strand will be a welcome sight at the end.  Tintagel itself is just 2 miles from your accommodation and has a wealth of interesting independent shops on its high street along with convenience stores, cafes, bakeries and a couple of great pubs serving food.  The Duchy of Cornwall owned Tintagel Castle and its famous bridge (not for the faint hearted) is at the furthest end of Tintagel and is well worth a visit (charges apply). Managed by English Heritage, don't forget to take your membership card for free entry.  Nearby Boscastle and its much photographed harbour is 4 miles from your accommodation and again, well worth a visit.  Albeit smaller than Tintagel, it still offers a wealth of lovely little gift shops plus a couple of cafes.  The historic Cobweb Inn which can date back to the 1700's and the Wellington pub (a former coaching inn which dates back to the 16th century), give you a great choice between two rather special licenced premises.  Just 1.5 miles or only a 10 minute walk from Trewinnick Lodge is the beautiful, St Nectan's Glen and Waterfalls, with cafe and woodland walk.  The perfect place to visit if you have a couple of hours to spare.  Entrance Straight into the open plan living area Open plan living/dining and kitchen  A wonderful space with high Apex ceilings, super comfy easy seating, large wall mounted SMART TV, dining table and chairs and fitted kitchen.  Access from this palatial room out into the sheltered and enclosed patio area to the rear where you will find furniture and of course, the hot tub! The well equipped kitchen has a number of appliances at your disposal including gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and separate tumble dryer.  Off the kitchen to the ground floor: Walk -in wet/shower room with tiled floor, heated towel rail, wash basin and WC  Bedroom 1 - ground floor - front With king size bed (this room also has a trundle bed which is available at extra charge - please see additional notes).  Bedroom 2 - ground floor - rear With two standard size single beds. Ample hanging and drawer space across both of these ground floor bedrooms Carpeted stairs with balustrade handrail to: Master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite. Velux windows to both side of this first floor bedroom so some limited head space but still a spacious bedroom with ample drawer and hanging space provided. Lovely views down across the fields and out to see from this bedroom.  En-suite  Comprises of bath with handheld shower attachment, large basin, heated towel rail and WC.  Heating A mix of underfloor and radiator central heating. Dogs A maximum of 2 dogs of any size accepted.  Outside A lovey, sheltered and private, enclosed patio to the rear with furniture and  wood fired hot tub. To the front, there is an open layout lawn area with picnic bench, parasol and BBQ with the most lovely views out across neighbouring fields to the sea.  This front garden area is not enclosed so dogs will need to be supervised when using this space. Behind the lodge is a 30 acre field owned by the owners of Trewinnick Lodge where you are free to let your dogs explore and roam, off lead. Please note that the owners (who live on-site) have their own friendly dogs who like to wander and will provide you with a warm welcome.  Parking Ample parking for up to 3 cars on a tarmac surface in front of the property.  EV charging available for small charge - paid direct to owner  Please Note Guests wishing to use the hot tub must pay a £50 charge directly to the owner before arrival, and will be required to operate the hot tub themselves during their stay.
