"One of the nicest hotels I think I’ve ever stayed at, and the staff went above and beyond to help. My husband left his sunglasses in the restaurant and while we were waiting for the ferry they actually sent them down with a shuttle for him, which was so helpful because we were going to Bellagio for a couple days. The pool is stunning. It was so nice. There’s very few places with pools there so it was great to sit out there in the afternoon. It was so hot. We didn’t eat there so I’m not sure about the food, but you couldn’t find a nicer hotel great location. You walk out the front door and there was restaurants and everything right there. I think you can actually go down to the water too it looks like they have a little beach out in front. We didn’t do that either but it looks like you could do that. I’d stay there if you could."

"Hotel Excelsior Splendide was amazing! The location was absolutely perfect, with everything in Bellagio just a short walk away. Our room had a beautiful view of Lake Como, and we loved relaxing by the pool after exploring. The hotel was beautiful, the room was great, and the included breakfast was an added bonus. We couldn't recommend it more!"

"We stayed here for the first night of our Italy trip. The hotel grounds is beautiful, and waking up to the view is great. There was a wedding, and a large portion of the gardens was closed off for hours for preparations and the ceremony. As a result, paying hotel guests had to take detours through the property and had to be quiet and felt awkward sitting around it. The hotel is also a very popular destination for day visitors and many people coming solely to take photos, which made the atmosphere feel very crowded and chaotic. Because there were so many non-guests on the property, the staff did not always seem able to distinguish between hotel guests and visitors. At one point, we were in a banquet type room by the front desk with the doors wide open and a older man staff member with short hair abruptly yelled at us to leave while staring us down which felt strange. Have a sign up or close the door if no one is allowed to enter. We asked the concierge to assist with reservations and arrangements during our stay, but none of them were handled, and we ended up making all of the arrangements ourselves. No one picked us up at the airport, no dinner res. Water taxi reservation also, I had asked them to reserve that months ago and it was still not done and had to be scheduled that day. Overall, the property is beautiful and the views are spectacular, great if you like taking a lot of photos but if you’re not solely into it then idk."

"If you make sure to get a newly renovated room, all is good. If you don’t, it’s a completely different stay. The rooms that are not renovated are dingy older and need a deep cleaning. Shower is small, etc. If you get a newly renovated room it’s completely opposite. Air-conditioning is fabulous. Beds are comfortable pillows are wonderful, etc. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the pool and pool chairs were fabulous. The concierge staff need to get a little more training. They were unable to really answer questions about the area, the restaurants things to do, etc. They were young locals who really didn’t seem very trained. For example, when I asked if they could make a reservation for dinner the concierge said “you want ME to call?“ That was a little surprising. She was very sweet, but they need training on what a concierge’s role is in a nice hotel."

"Unser Aufenthalt war super schön, das Haus hat alles was man braucht - lediglich das der Pool im Gemeinschaftsbereich war konnte man anhand der online Anzeige nicht ganz so gut erkennen, wir hatten einen privaten Pool direkt im Garten erwartet. Ist aber wirklich nur eine kleine Anmerkung! Sonst war alles tiptop!"
