The home provided easy access to sights we wanted to visit as well as groceries. The kitchen, washrooms, and laundry room were all fully stocked with many extras (i.e. spices, condiments, toiletries, etc.), plenty of dishes, and cookware. We enjoyed a restful 3 night stay on a 14-day road trip. The beds were very comfortable. I would rebook this location if I ever find myself in Thunder Bay again.

Goldilocks cabin

Just right in terms of location (access to rural trails and city), attention to detail (thoughtfully organized, stocked, good appliances, linens, etc) and the little things i.e. the finn pancakes batter :) Great value for the experience!

A hidden Gem

This was an amazing rental. Everything was top notch! All the amenities!! Would highly recommend this spot and close enough to town. If you are staying in Thunder Bay this is your spot!!

Spacious and comfortable

Our family stayed for one night on a cross-Canada drive. The property had ample space and was well-equipped with everything one could need. We were super impressed and would definitely stay again if in the area!

We were extremely impressed with everything during our stay! The rental was very well equipped and lovely There was everything you could want or need. The laundry room was well equipped even though we brought our own goods. Then there was the Finn pancakes with strawberries, whipping cream and syrup! We had our two boys with their kids over and had so much fun in the fenced in yard. We will definately stay here again!

Mike and Taina were excellent host! The house was amazing as well. It was well laid out and had everything you could possibly need. Their special surprise for us when we got there was much appreciated. Beds were comfortable, the house was well kept. It had every amenity you could need. I would highly recommend!

Perfect winter getaway

This place in awesome! Exceeded our expectations. The owners thought of everything and then more. The rental is only a few minutes from town and also only a few minutes away from awesome cross country skiing. The owners were very quick with their communication and even left breakfast for us. Beautiful rental with easy parking for our camper van. The house was super clean and very well stocked. Great location for exploring the area. Our only issue was that the pet fee was not disclosed in the listing.

This was such an incredible stay. So many small comforts of home such as sugar and spices on hand, private bathroom shower in the master, all cooking utensils on hand - tremendously well set up! Couldn't have asked for a better temporary homestead, thank you both for being so incredibly hospitable

Work trip up North

We travel the province for work... This place was perfect!! Roomy, super clean and quiet. There's a great general store at the front of the property where we had fresh hot meals for both dinner and breakfast. The house was just as advertised. The owners were easy to deal with, and had alot of nice little additions to there home/stay!! We'll definitely stay again when back in town! 10 star stay!!!

Perfect Cozy House

We were happily surprised by this clean cozy home !! Lots of care was given to ensure the outmost comfort. The Finnish pre-mixed pancakes with strawberries were so thoughtful !! Thanks so much, we were visiting a sick family member so were grateful not to have to stress about accommodations. care

Beautiful Country Setting

The hosts are top notch! We spent 5 nights here as we attended a family wedding. 3 couples, 2 children and 2 dogs had one of the best stays in all of our rentals. The pre made finn pancake batter with strawberries and cream were relishes and such a hit for all in the mornings!!! The puppers were in backyard heaven with the large fenced in yard. We will definately stay here again as we travel to Thunder Bay often. Thank you again for your hospitality !!!

Celebration of life

Family came from out of town to celebrate life of my father. Everything in house was great. They thought of all our needs. Country store next door had awesome food and eat in or take out options. More than pleased with everything. Super hosts for sure. Thankyou Mike and Taina.

Above and beyond

Extremely well done. Very well equipped with pretty much anything you might need. Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are all very well equipped. Very deluxe compared to most short term rentals.Condiments, snacks, and even a local pancake batter made up ready to cook alone with fruit and whip cream. Nice bedding and towels. Spare toothbrushes…Location is a bit outside of the city. Depending on what your plans are this could be a bit of a downside. Plan to drive everywhere if spending time in the area. The general store next door has good pizza and a short drive to Dawson Diner has good quality meals too.

They thought of everything

The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't want to be in the downtown area and this location was perfect for us. It was a convenient drive to most of the attractions (Kakabeka falls, truely the Niagara Falls of the North, Fort William and the downtown core). Dawson General Store was a short walk away and has lots of treats or Walmart/Metro are a short drive down the road. We were very comfortable and slept well. We didn't even take advantage of all of the services but we could have had a fire out back or cooked up a storm in the kitchen. We would absolutely recommend and would stat there again, anytime. Thanks

Celebration of life

We stayed for 3 days 9th of july 2024. Place is immaculate, everything you could possibly need, bbq, firewood, ample parking. All the utensils and plates, and dishwasher to make it even easier. Comfortable beds. Little bit of road noise from the hiway but manageable. As well the place lacked air conditioning, the ad didnt state that there was. Just assumed it would have. Other than that it was excellent. Cozy corner store just behind the property with everything you may need. Definitely recommend
