"The front porch was our favorite spot! The elk come right up to the cabin. Due to the flooding and construction, the river is down. It is not located on the property regardless of the status of the river. Just wanted to make that clear for anyone expecting the river to be at the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay!"

"This is a very quaint cabin for just 2 people. It has all the basics but if you intend on making some food there, bring the spices. Coffee brewer is good and plenty of filters are on hand. The bed is really comfy. The toilet must have been put in for a 5 year old because it is the shortest I have ever sat on. Location is really nice and close to the downtown area and plenty of wildlife roaming around. Cabin is a real rustic feel and we felt really comfortable there. All in all in was a pleasurable stay"

"Beautiful house overlooking Grindstone lake. We had enough room for our family to stay and cheer me on while racing the inaugural Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Ruidoso. The deck was perfect for watching the swim course, especially since we brought a spotting scope on a tripod. The house was well supplied and we had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend!"

"We came here for a little getaway from the Texas heat, and it was wonderful! Felt like I was walking into grandma‘s cabin in the woods and for all the right reasons! Don’t get me wrong. This cabin is not renovated, but that’s actually what makes it amazing! We spent most of our time sitting on the deck, listening to the river and playing board games and just being bored and it was wonderful."
