"We booked a Double Queen room for two nights for our family of four. Our stay was comfortable, and we were pleased with the location and facilities. One area for improvement is the room’s lighting—it was quite dim, making it difficult to read a book without natural light from the window. While the room had a nice coffee table and two comfortable chairs, a desk or a luggage bench would have been a welcome addition."

Lakefront, Pet Friendly w Firepit in Quiet Cove

10/10 Excellent

"Great overall place. Well kept and well stocked. Hosts were very accommodating and the property was clean and comfortable. Views were great. The king bed was the most comfortable bed we've had at a VRBO, comparable to our personal Sleep Number mattress. No complaints. I wish the inside firestove was usable but I understand why it's not."

"This was a great house and location for our fall girls trip. The swim spa was amazing as were the lake views. The beds were comfy, and everything was clean. Would stay again! One call out, make sure to bring your own hand soap, pool towels, toilet paper and extras of the like."

"My issue was the kitchen was not well equipped for large parties. There were plenty of plates and glasses but the largest skillet was only a 20cm so making food for all of us was impossible.I was also bummed the basics weren't included (salt, pepper). We went grocery shopping but didn't realize this until after we got back. Not having cooking basics made it really difficult to settle in the first night especially with how late check-in is.Having to rent a pack-and play was also a first, we brought our own but it would have been nice to have that accessible with the rate since that was a search criteria and it's on the higher end of pricing anyway.Overall it was a great house with amenities but not very well located to have to go out multiple times to stock the fridge and kitchen."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines. A group of girlfriends and I rented the home for a Girls Getaway and it was the perfect setting for a wonderful weekend. The location was perfect, and the views of the lake were absolutely stunning. We especially loved spending time on the deck and enjoying the fire pit out back. The kitchen was well stocked with, which made preparing meals easy.I do have a couple of suggestions that may make future guests stays even better. The outdoor lighting could use some attention. Several of the lights leading down to the dock were knocked over or not working, which made the path quite dark at night. We also noticed that several lights inside the home were either not working or had burnt out bulbs.Another suggestion would be to add a note to the listing or provide signage indicating that there are several areas throughout the home where the elevation changes with small steps. Several of us tripped on these steps and unfortunately one of our friends fell when coming from the bedroom hallway into the living room. A simple notification could help guests be more aware of these transitions.Other than those minor issues, we had a wonderful time and would rent Whispering Pines again and would recommend this property to others looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway."

"We had a lovely time with our extended family. It was helpful to have two kitchens and adjustable air conditioners for various family members. Rustic charm with upgraded amenities made for a comfortable stay. Our dock was very close to the lake and our older generation was able to watch from the screened porch and enjoy the fun!"
