"Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."

"I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! "The staff were absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble and they made my husband, granddaughter and dog very welcome. The Sunday morning breakfast was a bit chaotic. Very busy and the hot food was disappearing very quickly, so there was always a key item missing. The staff were doing their best though. Lots of ceiling cobwebs in the room!"
