Amazing Stay!

The home was very beautiful- scenic and kept very clean! Check in check out was easy! Loved the quietness - the flowing river in the back - so beautiful Will go back there if I get a chance ! Love it love it love it!!

Quiet getaway

I love just pulling into the driveway and seeing and smelling all the tall pine trees. I love how it backs up to scenic overlook of trees and path to the Betsy river -a little rough to get down there but when you do -it’s beautiful to see the trickling water, this location is close to iron Fish distillery and a very nice restaurant bar called 231. The rental was clean comfortable with a very nice vibe and a very nice deck on back to sit out and chill.

Beautiful home

Overall this was a beautful property. The home was beautiful and clean. But the listing misrepresented the accessibility down to the river. It was a very steep path with no stairs. We were afraid to go down and not be able to get back up. Also there were very few pictues of the outside of the property. We thought it was five acres which was isolated. But in fact there are close neighbors

Nice house but neither secluded nor really “riverfront”

The house is nice, a recent reno with comfortable furnishings, big TV and mostly well equipped (could use a kettle for making tea and some reading lamps). It’s also dog friendly and had a dog bed. Our issue was that it was advertised as secluded, on 5 acres and riverfront. We pictured spending our days sitting quietly by the river. It is not secluded, there are neighbors you can see and hear right next door on both sides. Getting down to the river involves a climb down a steep muddy hill with roots for “stairs” and no handrails. Then across a narrow wobbly boardwalk over a swamp, then up and down another small hill. There is no place to sit, not even a bench by the river. No big deal if you are young and able bodied probably, but we asked specifically if the river was accessible for someone with difficulty walking and we were assured it would be. (I noticed the neighbors all had nice wooden staircases with handrails down to the river.) So we could sit on the deck instead, except you can’t really see the river from the deck. However you can hear the constant traffic noise from the busy road 2 houses down - much louder & busier than on my city street. So if you are wanting to stay inside or just use the property as a place to watch TV, prepare meals and sleep, this is a nice place. If you’re hoping to be in an”secluded riverfront up north setting” as we were, you may also be disappointed.

Perfect for a long weekend.

We loved this location for a long weekend of exploring northern Michigan. We had two dogs and the place was perfect. It was clean, quiet, had everything we needed. Iron Fish distillery was a great surprise, super cute, great drinks + food and like a 5 minute drive away! If you want a relaxing place away from the hustle of summer towns this was a perfect spot!

Great way to Escape!!

Awesome getaway!! This place was very secluded and so clean!! Craftsmanship of the place was amazing too! You can tell, alot of pride and quality went into this place. Everything we needed was right there at hand. Also every amount of space was utilized efficiently. We had a family of 6 and our pet dog and felt great and safe staying there. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks!
