"A peaceful, magical spot in a garden, surrounded by fields, a few minutes away from major roads. The hosts were very welcoming, offering us tea in the comfortable sitting room available to their guests. The breakfast spread was copious and varied. The room we were in was spotless, spacious and extremely comfortable. I appreciated the little touches like a coloring book with its color pencils or the plants and flowers in the room. "Location of the property in a forest and its setting is good. The room was spacious and well fitted out - it had been refurbished since we last stayed in it. We were made very welcome. Our only comment would be the menu was a bit limited. "

"Nice town to stop at. The place has obviously seen better days (probably before they built the Autoroute), but for the price it was fine. Clean, friendly with a bar and decent food. Secure parking was a bonus. Obviously if you spend more you will get better but it was just an overnight stop whilst travelling."

"This place was wonderful..not at all what we expected but was so much more. Quaint, typically french and full of charm and character. Then there's the food....hard pressed to find such authenticity here in the UK. So glad we found this place. Highly recommended."

"Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. Staff friendly, continental breakfast ok and parking on site."

"Property is easy to find and off the A71 so great for an overnight stopover. Rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Shower was clean and hot water. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. "

"Having stayed at the Hotel before we were expecting a similar good experience and it didn't disappoint. Rooms are comfortable but perhaps in need of modernising somewhat. Food, both dinner and breakfast was very good. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. "
