"I loved my stay at Waves. The experience starts with a welcome cocktail while they get you checked in. I found the staff to be welcoming and extremely helpful giving me recommendations for activities and information on getting around the island. As a solo traveler they also made me feel safe. The cocktails and food were also pretty good for all inclusive. The view of the ocean is to die for from the dining area. My only complaint is the mattress being firm. All in all I’d definitely recommend this hotel for your Barbados stay."

"Everything about sugar bay was amazing from the staff to the food to the amenities absolutely spectacular! Not your typical all inclusive buffet, food was very good and not to mention the exceptional steak house and sushi restaurant on site. You cannot go wrong with staying here! "The staff was nice and accommodating. Best part about the resort was the staff. The resort was not clean to my standards. For example the resort room floors had the same trash and stains on the floor the entire time. The food was just decent and at some times good. Nothing to write home about. The drinks were delicious and the staff did a great job keeping the drinks coming. The resort is beautiful. I would stay again due to the staff being so friendly and accommodating. They definitely need to improve the cleanliness. Also the night life and entertainment was mediocre but it could just be because there was not a lot of visitors on the resort."

"On the positive side, the location is gorgeous, the staff very polite and friendly, the rooms and balconies good size, there is ample free parking, and the Cuppa Cafe "grab and go" was quite good. On the not-so-positive side, the furnishings are "tired" and could really use an update, the bathroom had no shower gel and the hand soap was not the best to use for bathing, the shower had no place to put your own items, the bath towels were dingy and rather worn, our passports in the room safe actually warped from the humidity in the room despite the air conditioning, and the two restaurants on the property were horrible with very small menu choices and not very good food. The Lighthouse Terrace was especially bad, the service was so slow it was unbelievable. It was not what we expected from a Hilton which is too bad because there is so much potential in such a beautiful setting."
