I have asked our Team to rectify this and after checking it myself I can confirm there is an electric blanket put on. I apologize that we have not picked that up when we changed to winter mode. The room was clean and tidy. The couple managing the site were very friendly and helpful- staying up rather late to greet us and make sure we didn’t need anything. Highly recommend.

The swimming pool was good, and the Netflix tv worked well. It was too hot in the room and there was no air-conditioning. The windows had to be pushed to open and close. We were woken at 6 am one morning by a rat in the walls or ceiling. Room was spacious and generally okay, but over-priced for what it was.

For your next stay please keep an eye out for the rooms with air-condition. Due to being next to a river we do have unfortunately, uninvited guests. We do have rodent traps around the property and have a pest control plan to minimize this issue. We are looking forward hearing from you when you are next in the Thames area. The window in our room,needs repairing.Went to open it & it dropped down,so needs attention.3am trying to close it without being quiet,was impossible.. The outdoor pool was closed,but The Spa Pool was Fantastic.. In our other unit,someone turned the fridge off,while we were out fishing,so we returned to warm bottles of beer. Apart from that we look forward to our next stay with them.

I have stayed at the Rolleston several times, the newer units are very comfortable and more modern. The older units are suitable but could do with some love in the bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its very quiet with minimal noise of traffic from the main road.

I appreciate the genuine hospitality and care from the staff of the motel, in particular, Elaine, who was the lady in charge. She was very warm and friendly, and very informative about everything I needed to know about the motel, during my stay. The cleaning staff did an excellent job of keeping our room clean and fresh. No compendium in the unit. Table was a slab attached to the wall which wouldnt have been so bad if there were chairs to go with it. Obviouisly designed for you to mhave your evening meal and breakfast off the premises.The only item to sit on in the whole unit apart from the bed was an armchiair designed for someone with anorexia

Spent the entire night awake with a gang around us having a party. Loud music, cars came in and out all night. Although the room was non smoking, it stank of smoke.

Rolleston Motel, older rooms need improvement
We found this hotel below average and more expensive than you’d expect for the type of Motel it is. Our rooms were old fashioned with a block wall, stippled ceiling. The lady at reception was lovely, very helpful. The room was spacious and the smart tv was great but the old cigarette smell in the room was overpowering, we struggled with it and ended up using some cut lemons from a tree outside to try to disguise the smell. The toilet was filthy, very stained, not nice. There is a small terrace outside with table and chairs which would have been nice to use except there is no privacy between the areas outside. Our next door neighbour was outside smoking and he had his washing hanging out. Perhaps he lives there, not sure but it might be more ideal to put up a wee fence or tall plants for privacy in between rooms? Location is good, ten minute walk or short drive to the Main Street. If you’re wanting a quick stay it may be ok, or pay for a newer room. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend for longer than a night

The unit is well located. Very disappointing, as what we got, was not what was shown on website. The unit interior, carpets, fittings, appliances are all out dated and drag the the place down. Bedding was good. Hot and cold water excellent.

A Great Stay!
Very great hotel and Vicky was really friendly, helpful and great customer service! It's in a great location as you can walk to town. The room was very comfortable, great bed and a nice sitting area outside your room! It has a great pool and a good size too!
