Lucy is an absolute hoot- very welcoming and full of suggestions of things to see or do. Perfect for dogs too, with a lovely enclosed garden and lots of walks from the location detailed in the information folder. Lots of lovely pubs nearby too including a local just across the way. "Check in was easy and location was good, thise are the only positives. The property is extremely dated and dirty. The furnishings in communal areas were torn, threadbare, stained, dirty and smelly. The carpets were dirty, covered in dog and human hair. There was mould above the shower and dirt and mould under the sink. The areas around the toilets were soiled with rusted old urine splashes. "Our overnight stay is memorable for all the right reasons, on arrival the reception team were polite and attentive, our room was clean, and impressive! The lady behind the bar in the bar restaurant went above and beyond even offering a tray with fudge and a message finding out we had got married that day. In the morning our breakfast in the orangery was delicious with a huge variety ,staff again were attentive friendly and efficient! We had a lovely stay and will be back."

"Staff are very friendly and welcoming, been there a number of times before, as a stop before we jump on Le shuttle the rooms and everything was great, but a little bit disappointing with the breakfast before we had breakfast in a bag this time. It was laid out, but all of the croissants and baked goods were so dry"
