Loved the location and the space itself. The stained glass windows were the perfect touch! The host was accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend!
This gem of a condo was in the perfect location. We never knew it was possible to stay downtown except for $8mm condos, so this was a huge surprise for us, especially since it's our 24th year going in May. The local's coffee shop has a deck next door where we hung out and people watched before going to the hot springs in the mornings. Most restaurants are fantastic, if a little expensive, but they are all within one or two blocks. The parking was convenient in the back of the building and Jimmy was super nice to show us how to park and get into the condo. If you want to feel like a local, that's what this condo did for us. We'll definitely be back.
It really is a great location. I went into this gorgeous jewelry store to pick up the key and the wife of the owner helped me get into the condo and explain how everything worked. Parking was provided. There was an espresso machine that grinds the beans and made excellent espresso. Plenty of room. An ice machine that you could fill a cooler with.
The kitchen and bar area was a little unusual but I actually liked it. It must be a new concept for remote workers and it's definitely better than staying in a hotel. Sitting at the bar I had excellent wi-fi and the location was amazing and the downstairs store sent an overnight letter for me, so kudos to them. A review said it made them feel like a local and that's exactly how I felt. The owners have lived in Telluride a long time so between this comfy condo and getting to know the owners and Jimmy, their manager, I couldn't recommend this condo highly enough.
pros - location, friendly, easy to find. Clean
cons - stairs (second floor) no elevator, stacked parking
I think we were one of the first few groups to stay here, and there weren't any reviews when I booked, so I feel like I should be really specific in my review.
First of all, the location of this spot is right in the heart of town. It's walking distance from everything, including all of the shops, restaurants and gondola. We didn't need our car the entire trip.
As far as the unit itself goes, we were so pleasantly surprised! It was clean and well cared for, we had pretty much everything we needed as far as kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, etc. It was really cute and thoughtfully decorated, and the kitchen itself was a commercial kitchen with mostly commercial equipment, which was interesting (but fine for us, since we mostly ate out). The host left snacks and wine, which was lovely.
The bathroom is a little small, and the shower is a little cramped if you're a big or tall person, but it wasn't a huge deal. The bed was comfy, and nice quality linens (often a sticking point for me in vacation rentals).
The only other thing I feel I should mention is that parking wasn't bad at all. The host was able to let us park in the alley behind the building, and like I mentioned above, we didn't need our vehicle at all the whole trip.
I think that about sums it up! It was a great spot, and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again if we find ourselves back in Telluride. If you're on the fence, I say go for it! It was a much better deal than the local hotels.
AMAZING location(!!) but very small bathroom & difficult parking
We stayed for 7 nights during the Film Festival. As others wrote, you "feel like a local" staying in a spot so centrally located. It is obvious the owners of the unit are arty with great artwork throughout and bold colors.
The unit was previously a tiny restaurant so it is a bit odd in that there are industrial coolers, a freezer, and scales. The TV is positioned so those sitting at the "bar" can watch -- you can't see it easily from the bed or the sofa. This extends to the bathroom and closet -- there is a ladder and roof opening with an industrial freezer and wooden shelving. A very small bathroom and sink (no vanity) and shower are tucked in the back.
The parking is a mixed bag. As the owner notes, it is really hard to have covered overnight parking available downtown. They have a garage with cars one in front of the other. The staff in the store parks in the garage so cars need to be rotated. The garage is beyond narrow with a large F250 (or something) parked such that you can barely get in/out of your car. I literally could not park as I was not familiar enough with the rental car and did not want to damage it. Jimmy (from the store) parked it for me. We went to use it one night & a neighbor illegally parked & blocked us in.
If you are staying in Telluride for a night or two and your needs are simple, this spot is probably ideal. The location truly cannot be beat. For a longer stay and a desire for better amenities, you may want to stay elsewhere.

Unexpected
Well, it needs some work. The front door lock was 3 inches off the ground. It’s a newly refurbished bar, just so you know. Great for some but not all.
Let's start with the good- fantastic location, 5 stars. The A/C didn't work, which is not usually a problem in Telluride. But it was hot and sleeping was tough. When we got there the fridge and sink had dirty dishes and old food. Lastly, despite advertising parking on site, it did not exist. Because we were there during TBGF, all cars in town needed passes and had to be registered with the city. Even though that's supposed to be the owner's responsibility, we had to handle it without help. Not a big deal, but we also didn't have working wi-fi for the first two days. Overall, we didn't get close to what we paid for.
