Its landscaping is beautiful and offers both shade and sun. The front desk (Marcia) and housekeeping staff (Rebecca) were particularly welcoming and helpful. We found the breakfast to be on the modest side. This is unfortunate because many of us are fans of the Brazilian breakfasts that tend to be so generous and interesting, i.e., fresh juices and fruits, breads, cakes and cheeses. Judging from photos on the Expedia website, Villa Alferes once had more robust offerings. Your choice will depend on how much the breakfast experience means to you. "

The only 2 negatives are that the jacizzi hit tub was non functional and the water was extremely luke warm at best (cold side). As well,workers started renos at 7am all week and we feel this should have been managed better with a 9am start. It is a hotel after all. We were never warned about this event."
