"Modest and rustic is accurate with a great view. Chilly at the time of year we went and an old house doesn’t hold heat well. Well located in Tuscany and roomy enough for four of us. Ample parking. Windy conditions impacted wi-fi. Very close to town but far enough away to think you are well outside. Nothing stocked in kitchen so plan to bring your own. Oven was a convection oven so not very large. Tons of character and if you understand what you are getting it is a delightful experience. Mariala was a really accommodating host and booked a cooking class right there in the house based on her recommendation (she also coordinated it). "

"Marilia was a gem. She cooked us a delicious dinner the day we arrived. She arranged for a cooking class on site and connected us with a driver for our day trips. She went over and above to make our stay wonderful. The house was built in 1050 BC and was a treasure to stay in. Many features have been left when modernizing. The cellar is original and a great place to visit or eat while you are there. The views are spectacular. We cannot recommend this house enough!"

"We really enjoyed this place. Rustic and old fashioned. The layout is quirky but endearingly so. Pristine. The pool area was wonderful. Owner kind and smiley. I went nowhere having visited Tuscany many times but you were in easy reach of all the historical and cultural sites. My family did visit the sights and were grateful to come back to the tranquillity of the property. Be aware when you are trying to find it the name is different from the name on the site. You are given it layer in the booking process. Pay attention."

"The place is nice but could definitely do with air con adding. Also worth noting that although the house is very private and exclusively for your use, the owners live on the same property in another building, this was not really clear on the descriptions etc. However they did not intrude on our privacy at all and we still had a good holiday "

"It is a house with low standard. It has no AC which make the stay here very hot. Could need some updating regarding plates, glasses and cutlery. The entrance to the property need some work. Damage due weather conditions."

"This was a beautiful location and the host Patrizia was friendly and responsive. The pool was refreshing and the view was outstanding. We had a 3 bedroom apartment in the main building and it was quite large and ideal for our grandson as apart from the main stairs it was mostly all one level so he could easily crawl around. Please note that basic amenities are not provided. You will need toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, dish cloths etc. We arrived late so were a bit surprised to be without toilet paper but the host was very responsive and brought us some right away. We went out the next day and stocked up on things we needed and had a wonderful time there. It was one of our favourite places that we stayed and it felt very authentic. It is also walking distance to a wine tasting with lunch in a castle. "Our stay at the Santa Lucia villa can only be described as wonderful. First off the villa is in a perfect location- right in the middle of the Pisa, Siena, Florence triangle if you will. Day trips are easy to do to almost any Tuscan area from the villa. The villa itself was great- all the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, showers have great water pressure. The view from the back porch is incredible as expected. Highly recommend the wine tasting they offer it was one of the cooler experiences I had in my time traveling for 3 months in Europe. My friends and I love the villa and will certainly be reccomending it to friends!!!"
