Top Tea Lake Dam Picnic Area Hotel Reviews
Tally-Ho Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent alternative to the chain hotels. Beautiful location right on the lake."
Muskoka Waterfront Retreat
8/10 Good
"Cottages had a beautiful view of Dwight Bay / Lake of Bays. Check in process was seemingly less with lots of communication from the owner prior to arrival. The size of the cottage was the perfect size for a family of four wanting to take advantage of being outdoors."
Hidden Valley Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort
8/10 Good
"Nice and cosy location with a beautiful lake view. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, I would say it was an acceptable value for money. However, the property seems to need some serious maintenance and repairs, and perhaps even a renovation. Surprisingly, the restaurant was closed on our first night. We had a chance to try it on the second night, though, and the food was good enough. Our room door was stuck, so opening and closing it was not easy. The indoor swimming pool was also not clean enough, although the outdoor one was in better condition. The hand soap in our washroom ran out after the first day and was never replaced. Another issue was the soundproofing. There was very little privacy, and we could easily hear noise from the rooms on both sides. Overall, the location and the staff were good, but the property definitely needs some attention and maintenance."
Deerhurst Resort
8/10 Good
"My daughter had a great time here and we will probably make plans to stay here every year. The cons are, the rooms are very dated and so are washrooms in the main Pavilion. The building needs an overhaul renovation. When we checked in during the curb side checkin, we weren’t informed of all the kids events including the foam party and painting in the other buildings. She actually didn’t explain anything so we weren’t aware and it would’ve fun for my daughter."
Play & Stay in Algonquin
10/10 Excellent
"This cottage was a lovely weekend getaway. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A family of deer was in the yard to greet us upon arrival! Everyone's beds were comfortable. We loved having the firepit out front, where we were able to keep an eye on our pregnant friend lounging on the couch inside. We used the available dock down the street everyday to relax water side and take a dip in the lake! It was also a close drive into town should you need anything."
Algonquin Lakeside Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Passed this place on our way home from a camping trip earlier in the summer and the adorable trailer outside caught my eye- we booked for the last weekend of August and it was definitely worth it! Great location, adorable little room, not one on the water but I’m sure those are even lovelier! Access to the beach and grill pavilion for all guests! Super helpful staff as well. Highly recommended if you’re looking to stay in Algonquin but don’t want to rough it, the air conditioning was appreciated after hikes lol. Thank you Algonquin lakeside resort for a great last vacation of summer!"
Dwight Riverside Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I really enjoyed my stay here, we did a birthday thing so there 5 of us and everything went well. There was enough room to sleep 6, which was awesome. The room came with a mini fridge, microwave and a hot top cooker (we didn’t use this). There were pots, pans, dishes and utensils provided! The room itself was beautiful, the set up, colours. Beds were a bit on the soft side but I’m not complaining. It’s conveniently between Huntsville and Algonquin so day trips are super easy! We had a great time! Hope to come back again!"
Lake of Bays Getaway -Waterfront Cottage with Scenic Rooftop Boathouse
8/10 Good
"It’s a beautiful property, it needed some maintenance touch-ups. I was told there would be two kayaks, there was only one which causing a bit of a stir with my grandkids but we managed. Overall it was good stay."
Luxury 3000SQF Muskoka Cottage | Private Retreat | Ski, Beach & Near Algonquin
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay with my family of four. The house felt brand new. Very clean and well maintained. WiFi 300 Mbps in the main living room. Everything was in working order. The owners ask that renters take trash to the local waste mgmt station prior to leaving. The location is about a 9 minute drive east of the house."
