"Budget hotel that is good bang for the buck. Friendly, helpful staff. Good parking. I like that biscuits and gravy was a breakfast option. Yes, thin walls, and the toilet rim wasn’t cleaned at all, plus there was a dirty stained towel on top of the shower rod. Perhaps certain housekeepers need a refresher in cleaning. But overall, I’ll stay there again."

"This hotel is a two-minute walk from the harbor, just behind a brewery and food trucks, next door to a fabulous outdoor/ recreational store and across the street from the museum. The mature, sourdough of a gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. We enjoyed his dry humor and laid-back style. The rooms are basic and a bit dated, but the mattresses, bedding and down (or alternative) comforters are newer, perfectly fine. The room surprisingly offered the usual toiletries that were of a medium scaled quality. The breakfast was what one generally expects. For the price, there was nothing to complain about! We would recommend it for a no-frills option and would definitely stay again."

"The Cliffside made our time in Valdez so very special! Our host made us feel so welcome with homemade treats, beautiful decor and linens, coffee and snacks. The bathroom was beautifully done, the bed comfortable, and the view spectacular! It was the perfect place to begin and our day!"
