Welcome to Sandy Bar, where comfort meets character just minutes from the best of Mount Maunganui. Tucked in a prime spot only a short stroll from local favourites like Eddie’s Bakery, Benny & Brew, and the skatepark – and just a seven-minute walk to the golden sands – this home is all about ease, style, and a little splash of retro charm.
Freshly renovated with a playful American diner vibe, Sandy Bar offers cool furnishings, Smeg appliances (yes, even a wine fridge), and a sun-soaked deck that’s perfect for slow mornings and relaxed afternoons. Indoors flows effortlessly to outdoors with a bar leaner and chairs, making it just as good for a quiet coffee as it is for a shared platter with friends.
Inside, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms. The super king ensuite room is a beautifully converted garage, complete with its own heat pump, TV, and sliding door to the driveway. The other two bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with a single plus trundler - share a well-appointed bathroom. With quality bedding, excellent heating and cooling, and thoughtful touches throughout, everyone can relax in comfort.
Practical comforts are all here - great Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, off-street parking for one car (plus plenty of street parking), and a shared driveway with two other homes.
Dog lovers, you’re in luck - Sandy Bar welcomes one small dog by prior approval. There’s a dog door, a small fenced grass area, and a secure boundary to keep tails wagging.
Whether you’re here for a corporate stay, a weekend with friends, or a family getaway, Sandy Bar offers a relaxed base in an unbeatable location. Once you arrive, you’ll see why this is set to be a year-round favourite.

- Pets are allowed only upon negotiation and prior approval: one small, non-shedding dog permitted. Dogs must be house-trained, at least 2 years old, and must not be left unattended. A small pet fee applies.

Payment Terms: Full payment for your stay will be processed 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
Guest Portal: You will receive a guest portal link from Beyonder, the manager of the property, before your arrival. Please utilize this link to provide your credit card details and upload a valid ID.
Booking Confirmation: Your booking is considered provisional until the completion of the guest portal, payment has been made and there has been a successful bond hold.
Bond Hold: A bond hold will be placed on your credit card 7 working days before your scheduled arrival. The hold will be released 7 working days after your departure, provided the home is returned in the same pristine condition in which it was found. Deductions may be made from this bond in the event of any incidentals or excess cleaning.

This is a great place to stay. The location is walking distance to shops cafes beaches. It was super clean and had all the little extras like basic supplies, hairdryer, and a really well kitted kitchen with nice glassware and plates.
Excellent holiday rental with a beach hut meets 50's dinner vibe. Definilty recommended. Only gripe was the 1000 hold Beyonder place on your card for 14 days.
