The best time to go to Tarimot is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

Spring in Tarimot is typically mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C. This period is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking in the nearby Jirisan National Park, as the landscape is lush and green, and the cherry blossoms are in bloom around mid-April, especially along the Seomjingang River. It's also a good time to visit the Hwaeomsa Temple without the peak summer crowds.

Autumn offers similarly agreeable weather, with temperatures between 10°C and 18°C. The region is renowned for its stunning autumnal foliage, particularly in Jirisan National Park, where the mountainsides turn vibrant shades of red and gold. This makes it a great time for scenic drives and exploring the tea plantations in Hadong. The harvest festivals often take place during this season, providing a glimpse into local culture.

Both spring and autumn avoid the hot, humid summer (July and August) which can see temperatures above 30°C and heavy rainfall, and the cold, dry winter (December to February) where temperatures can drop below freezing.
