The most affordable time to visit Tarbes is typically during the shoulder seasons, specifically late spring (April to May) and early autumn (September to October). During these months, you'll find pleasant weather without the peak season crowds and prices. For solo travellers, these periods offer a more relaxed atmosphere to explore the city's attractions, like the Jardin Massey and the birthplace of Marshal Foch, often with reduced rates for accommodation and sometimes even better deals on flights. You can enjoy the local markets and cafes without the summer rush, making it easier to find good value meals. While summer (July and August) brings the warmest weather, it also sees an increase in tourist numbers, especially those heading to the nearby Pyrénées.
