    Guests will have full, private access to the entire single-level home, covered porches, and enclosed yard.

    Self check-in is available via a lockbox; the lockbox and gate codes are provided prior to arrival.

    Parking is available in the driveway for up to two vehicles. The on-site garage is not accessible to guests.

    The home sits within a fully enclosed compound with a gated entry on the left side of the house.

    Hacienda del Canon is set in a quiet Taos neighborhood with open mountain views, just under two miles from historic Taos Plaza and its shops, galleries, and restaurants. Taos Pueblo and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge are close by, and Taos Ski Valley is about 20 miles away for skiing in winter and hiking in summer.



    Getting Around:

    A vehicle is recommended to explore Taos and the surrounding area; the Plaza is just under two miles away and Taos Ski Valley is about 20 miles away. In winter, AWD or 4WD is helpful for reaching the higher mountain roads toward the ski valley.



    Other Things to Note:

    Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

    Guests must be at least 21 years old to book, and only registered guests are permitted.

    No smoking, parties, or events.

    Dogs are welcome (up to 1) with prior approval and any applicable pet fee. Please pick up after your pets.

Repeat stay didn't disappoint

This is a repeat stay for us and we will stay here again should we return to the Santa Fe area. The location is perfect as a base "camp" for day trips to Taos, Jemez, and Albuquerque. Access to local attractions, restaurants, and businesses is also convenient. We order from Whole Foods and pickup on arrival makes the 1st day less hectic after a day of travel.

Great location and beautiful home

This is a great home for two couples. It’s within walking distance of The Plaza, close to hiking trails and has easy access to the freeway going toward Ghost Ranch and Taos. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are comfortable. We found it very quiet at night as well. We would stay here again if we come back.

Susan's Hideaway was perfect for a girls' trip. It is a walkable distance to downtown. There is plenty of space inside and outside. The decor is welcoming and great art adorns the walls. Parking on the street is a must if you have anything more than a mid-size vehicle. The building is tucked away on the backside with access from a small driveway. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

This property was exactly as described. It was close to the plaza, and walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and museums. It was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was amazing! Everything you need- plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The coffee maker was great, with plenty of coffee provided. I highly recommend this place!

Enchanted February Weekend in Santa Fe

This was a great place to stay for a long weekend. Our adult children joined us and it was a cozy space to be together. Beautiful & comfortable home that had every amenity we wanted. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was warm and welcoming. Fully stocked kitchen. Wood for the fireplace. The location to the Plaza and ski slopes was ideal. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go, and had easy access to the mountain.

The condo is exactly as the photos indicate. Nice kitchen (and plenty of appliances), plenty of bathrooms, and spacious bedrooms. The location is great; about one mile from the plaza so easy to walk to. The unit is somewhat difficult to find if you arrive in the dark, and the driveway is long and narrow. But once you know where you are going, it's not an issue. The outdoor spaces are nice, as well. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Santa Fe!

We loved that we could walk to the Plaza in about 10 minutes! The Hideaway was perfect for two couples, with each having a king bed and en-suite bathroom. You could also walk to Canyon Rd. We also enjoyed having 3 outdoor spaces to enjoy on the property. Charming decor.

This place was everything advertised. It was probably the most well stocked VRBO we ever stayed at with towels, appliances, dishes, etc. Very clean and very well decorated. Would definitely stay here again next time!
