Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore

"But there is a downside to my stay: an elevator. Sometime after 7:00 PM on SEP 19, I entered the northeast elevator. I touched my key card and traveled to the 7th floor … but the door would not open (!) I needed to get to my lavatory, and being sealed in an elevator car creates panic. I called the front desk and explained the situation, after which I was told an engineer would be dispatched. But with stress rapidly building, I decided to rescue myself - or else. I pushed the 6th floor button and amazingly the elevator responded, after which the door did open. I moved quickly (as I could) to the south elevators and rode to my (7th) floor, grateful that circumstances now favored me – or so I thought. But then the door to 720 did not accept my key card. I had no choice but to caper back to the front desk for corrective measures. I did get back to my room … and perhaps lost a few calories in the process …but luckily I lost nothing else (!!!). Frankly the hotel was just as lucky! I have stayed at Four Point several times (my son is a USAF psychiatrist), but never experienced such distress … and I don’t think anyone ever should."
