Apt 2 La Maison du Village

This lovely apartment is on the first level of the character building "Maison du Village", in the centre of Talloires village, only 200m from Lake Annecy. The building hosts 3 independent apartments, which can be rented together for a family or a group of friends. Ideally located in the centre of the village, close to shops and restaurants and for water sports activities, walking trails, tennis, golf, cycle lane.

Apartment 2 is perfect for two people, but can accommodate 4 with the sofa bed. Please note that its a small space ideally suitable for 2- 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Light and contemporary it is furnished with everything you need for a short break. The kitchen has an induction hob, oven and fridge. The sitting room- sofa bed, table and four chairs TV with French and English channels , internet and DVD player.
There is one bedroom with double bed and wardrobe. This room has a convecteur to provide both heating and airconditioning. Please use the remote and follow the instructions is the house manual.

The bathroom has a walk in shower, a basin and WC and a washing machine/dryer.
Across the small lane along the house is a terrace shared with Apartment 3 with your own table and 4 chairs and shared access to a Weber gas BBQ.

The apartment is conveniently located in the centre of the village, on the main piazza, where the weekly food market takes place on Thursday. There is a grocer, newspaper shops and restaurants just on your doorstep. Many more restaurants are on your way down to the lake. The lake and public beach area are about 5mn walk down the road , you can hire boats, paddles, kayak and paddle boards from there. Some beautiful walking trails depart from the water front into the Roc de Chere. Others depart from the mountain side of the village. The cycle lane goes along the village and all the way around the lake, 42 kms of beautiful (partly flat) lanes along the water front and through Annecy town.
From Talloires bay you can catch the boat shuttle that takes you round the lake and into the Annecy Old Town.
Talloires also has a mini golf, a golf, a tennis club and you will find canyoning , wakeboarding and paragliding departure points in the neighbouring village of Angon.
A week will be too short!

PARKING- IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Parking in Talloires village are no longer free between May and September.
The owners have kindly shared their PARKING PASS with you to allow you to park in any paying parking area in Talloires EXCEPT for the few spaces right opposite the apartment when you need to display an horodateur (BLUE WHEEL card) to be able to park for free for up t 1h only. ( you need to display your arrival time when you park so they can control the length of your stay)
There is also free parking along the main road above the village center.

The pass provided cannot be replaced: PLEASE DO NOT LOSE IT AND REMEMBER TO LEAVE IT ON THE TABLE UPON DEPARTURE. Please also kindly replace the blue wheel or you will be charged €5 if it needs to be replaced.

There are also a number of buses (free in summer) between Talloires and Annecy, and in summer, other shuttles to Montmin and Angon are available.
You can also rent Grand Annecy's green electric bikes for free for 30 minutes to travel between the villages and Annecy.
Finally, there are also boat shuttles departing from Talloires to Annecy.

The property is managed by Lacmontagne Properties and its fully bilingual conciergerie in Annecy are available to you throughout your stay to make sure everything goes smoothly during your holiday!

- Along the bike path that goes around the lake
- Canyoning, rock climbing, and paragliding departure/landing are a short ride away
- Walks: Roc de Chere Nature Reserve, Heritage St Germain, La Forclaz, Montmin, Angon Waterfall, La Tournette,
- Treetop climbing, orienteering course for all ages and paragliding departure from Planfait a 10 mn drive
- 30 minutes drive to the resorts of La Clusaz, Grand Bornand, Semnoz, La Sambuy, 1 hour from Les Saisies,

-Bike is best! there is a cycle lane around the whole lake .
-Bus stop just above the village takes you around the lake and into Annecy , check the timetable
-Boat leaves the port of Talloires regularly in the summer months and goes around the lake stopping in Annecy old town . See the time table at the port.

The apartment is located in the center of the village which can be a bit noisy for some people.

Lovely Stay in Talloire

Studio really great but we really needed to know more clearly about the lack of outside parking (had to use the Public Car Park if we could get in!) and the outside space which was poor as it was not directly attached to the apartment. We did not want to sit on it while everyone passed by to the shops and bars and could look straight in!

Schöne Wohnung für zwei Personen

Schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, allerdings hatte man den Eindruck in einer Kellerwohnung zu leben. Die dazugehörige Terrasse war auch nicht wirklich nutzbar. Leider hatten wir auch das Pech, dass im Nachbarhaus Bauaktivitäten stattfanden und die Baufahrzeuge ständig vor unserer Tür parkten. Wir würden nett und freundlich mit einem Kuchen empfangen. Die Wohnung war modern eingerichtet und alle notwendigen Sachen waren vorhanden.

Beautiful modern compact apartment, centrally located

Our stay in Talloires was lovely, a beautiful part of France. The apartment isn't huge but it doesn't need to be as it is perfect and provides everything you need for your stay. On arrival we had been given clear instructions about picking our keys up and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Talloires isn't huge but it is very popular with locals so can be very busy at weekends but our apartment was right in the centre so wasn't far from anything. Bar, restaurants, supermarket and lake front on your doorstep. Very convenient for all your day to day needs. Most of the restaurants are on the pricey side but that is a reflection of where you are. The scenery is outstanding and therefore very popular with sport fanatics. A bike ride is a must and it's great to watch the paragliders who regularly fill the skies. Annecy itself is a great place to visit by boat and spend the day. There are also plenty of places around the lake and beyond. Chamonix would be a great day out too. The only tiny negative is the refuge collection twice a week at 3.45 am which will wake you, I'm sure there is a reason why they collect at that time! I would certainly recommend this apartment, it was a good price and Michelle popped in to make sure everything was OK. You would be hard pushed to find anything better.

Another brilliant stay in Talloires!

The apartment was immaculately clean and very well maintained. It is finished to such a high standard and has everything you need for an amazing week or two. The managers are very thoughtful and even left some tasty treats upon our arrival. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone!

We had an amazing time!

Everything from the friendly greeting on arrival to our departure was just perfect. Michelle and Claude were easy to contact and gave us all the information that we needed for an amazing holiday. We would highly recommend visiting La Clusaz and taking the scenic route on the boat to Annecy. We are only sorry that we had one week instead of two.

Great place to stay in beautiful Talloires

This little jewel of an apartment in Talloires met and exceeded all of our expectations. Michelle, the manager was just the type of person you hope to encounter in this role. All of the communication with her was seamless as she anticipated and accommodated our every need. During an untypical Talloires heatwave, having air con saved the day. With the dual paned windows closed, the apartment is quiet, but with windows open be prepared for traffic noise. Loved the location, right in the heart of the village and a short walk to the pristine lake, bakery, supermarket and great restaurants. Will definitely be back to stay again.
