Nice traditional Japanese ryokan
Stayed for a night with my wife before going for a snow hiking to Nishihotska mountain next day. This hotel is a typical Japanese ryokan operated by owner family members, who were friendly, helpful, and gregarious. Satisfied with hot springs bath and traditional Japanese dinner.

Lovely family run Minshuku in a beautiful location
Very friendly hosts at this lovely family run guesthouse. The room, service, food and bath were all excellent. The other guests were also very friendly and even helped show me a technique to de-bone my fish during dinner. The outdoor bath is really beautiful and relaxing. A lovely spot to lie back, enjoy the hot water, cool air and look up at the surrounding mountains.
