In the past, there was always someone who led us to the room with suitcases, but this year, evidently, they stopped doing it. We proceeded to our room alone without any staff showing us the way. It does not matter to me, but, I think this is their cost-cutting measure."

"My husband and I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama for one night between two parts of our trip near the Seto Inland Sea. The hotel is conveniently located near the city’s JR station and within walking distance of urban landmarks like Okayama Castle. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent — they even brought our takkyubin luggage to our room so it was waiting upon our arrival. The breakfast buffet offered a mix of regional, Japanese, and Western dishes, and it was the best breakfast we had during our trip to Japan."
