"Super friendly staff, clean facilities, comfy room. Not your 5 star, but price wise punches above its class. Most of all, location can’t be beat, and the amenities came in clutch. "

"Conveniently located within walking distance to lots of local food options and foot massage places. Best part of hotel was the counter in reception that offered free amenities like drinks, snacks and cup noodles. Late at night they sometimes have small sandwiches in the fridge all individually wrapped. Room was adequate but had a weird bathroom with full floor to ceiling glass walls. You had a big step up every time you entered the bathroom which was a little unsafe especially in the middle of the night. Shower was in a bathtub, also really hard to get in and out of due to height of the bathtub. No hot water in the shower unless you let it run for several minutes! By that time you are at least halfway through a tepid shower or wasted so much water just waiting for it to get remotely warm. Since it was 30+ degrees outside during our visit we didn’t mind a cooler shower. Staff were quite good with some help in English just in case you don’t speak Mandarin."

"Overall amazing hospitality at the lobby and cleaning service! We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed all of them, area in Ximen is a bit low in maintenance but as soon as you step into Westgate it feels like a haven. The dragon is also a nice touch, thank you WH team for the wonderful stay!"

"The space was huge and comfortable for two friends travelling together. The toulet and shower are separate, the vanity is open, there is a living room with a roomy couch. There is plenty of space in this industrial-look hotel. The beds are comfortable and in a separate space with a curtain so one person could stay up while the other slept. Given the hot and humid temperatures, we were pleased with the quality of the AC. In fact we had to adjust it because it was too cool. The front desk staff at check in were excellent (Wendy and Eddie). They helped us short list a few restaurants and places to go during 1.5 days with you. "Overall I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It is conveniently located close to the MRT station and a short walk to the airport train station. It is also right around the corner from a busy pedestrian shopping area with lots of shopping and dining options. The hotel is a Japanese chain, so many aspects of the hotel are Japanese including the bathroom layout (separate toilet from sink and bath) and lots of Japanese items at the breakfast buffet. If I had realized this beforehand I may have chosen a different hotel as I really wanted a ‘Taiwan’ experience and would have appreciated more local options for breakfast. The service was excellent, especially Louis who checked us in and provided us assistance throughout our stay. "
