"I loved the convenience of getting to other places from the property. The owner of the place designed the place really well too and provided sufficient amenities such as home-made pastries/bread and cup noodles, which made our stay a really enjoyable one. Thank you!"
"That’s an old motel, the room had a strong cold cigarette smell that was impregnated in the air and in all fabrics, especially the pillows. It’s obviously a place where people go to have parties or worst and do not care about respecting the place. The room had many mosquitos probably due to the previous customers leaving the windows open to smoke inside. The bathtub had pinkish mold and the bathroom smelt like sewage water. "Check in process was friendly and seamless (thank you Jessie for the room upgrade for a better view of city)! Lobby was indeed grand (live piano music was a beautiful addition). Hotel shuttle to and from Yuanshan train station was very convenient. Room was nice - however recommend stocking room with more clothes hangars, plates, silverware. Standard pillows were uncomfortable - good thing I saw the pillow menu (charcoal pillow was much better). Recommend separate shampoo and conditioner (not combined). Underground tour was not that enjoyable because tour guide spoke in Mandarin - recommend offering 2 tours (Mandarin and English). Swimming pool and gym required taking a shuttle so we didnt get to see that part of the hotel unfortunately. Overall all hotel were friendly and welcoming (except the mean lady working as barista in afternoon of July 29, 2025). Hope to stay at Grand Hotel next time we are in Taipei!"
"Hotel just renovated not long ago, everything maintained well, good location, near to shopping area, staff are nice, help to arrange taxi, it was raining during my stay, they escorted me with umbrella "
"I was turned away from eating at the restaurant because they overbooked a tour of children. If you pay to stay at a hotel, they should not turn you away from their services. Very disappointing. "
