Great place for my friends and their families and mine for a killer long ski weekend. Michael was a great host and provided us all the info we needed. The view of Lake Tahoe was amazing.
Place is not too old and great space for pur group. We liked that it has a lot of utensils and cooking ware. Very close to a sledding and snowboarding resort. The beach access is too far from the place.
If you are looking to stay with a large group of friends or family, this is a great property. The lake views from the living room(s), and balcony / hot tub were beautiful. Everyone got their own king sized bed, and there were three separate living areas to hang out in plus a giant kitchen and balconey. The host was responsive and accommodating. The location near was super convenient for skiing Palisades.
Mike’s house was the perfect stay for our larger group. Close to Tahoe city, with an unbelievable view of the Lake.
Enough room for us all the comfortably hang out on the deck or in the living room. And tons of bed space for us all to sleep perfect
We had three families with six kids under three years old. It was the perfect house to allow the kids to play outside in the snow and had a good game room for all the kids to play. I recommend bringing a kids gate for the stairs since they are very steep. Overall, a good house for kids.
We had an amazing stay, with plenty of space for team meetings and breakouts throughout the week. Technology and WiFi worked great. The deck and view of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding basin were incredible. The kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable. The beds were very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your home!
The house is big enough for us couples, easy to get to and from. Love the view, except the vacuum was broken, no mop cause the flooring is dirty. The coach seems out dated but overall the place is awesome. Will continue to have weekends again here.
The place was perfect for 12 older guys, each wanting their own room. Plenty of room to spread out.
As others said, the house could use a couple of days of upkeep (broken lamps, loose things), but overall, the place was amazing. Thank you Michael.
We love this place for our group of 4 families to get together and enjoy some quality time. There are enough rooms and bathrooms for everyone to have private space, large enough seating areas to fit everyone, and a very well stocked kitchen with 2 fridges and 2 ovens. Plus it’s at a price we can all afford. Mike is very helpful and responsive! And we’ll definitely be back.
Great spot for large groups who need lots of separate rooms. Beautiful view of the lake. The main couch was dirty/broken, carpets weren't especially clean, and the place needs lots of little fixes (e.g., patching a hole in one wall of one of the bathrooms).
We were a large group from ages 1-45, every single one of us enjoyed this home, perfect location, we were able to see the complete lake. Many small shops around the small towns.
The property was perfect large back yard to play in the snow. Plenary of space in the house. We never felt tight.
Our 4 days here I never heard a complaint, we whant to come back next year.
This place is huge with lots of rooms and beds and can accomodate a lot of people which we needed for this gathering. The pictures of the view do not do it justice. Michael the host, was awesome and responsive. The place is warm and cozy. What a winter wonderland for a back yard. We made a snow sled ramp, snow men and a snow fort. The kids enjoyed the property. We look forward to summer to come back and book again. The views of Tahoe are amazing, winter or summer.
This was an amazing place! We had a group here and everyone loved it. Hot tub has a terrific view, there’s a nice big kitchen, and it’s pretty close to a number of restaurants and grocery stars.
The only nitpick I have is that there are 9 real bedrooms and the tenth is a room (with a door) with three foldout couches in it. If you have anyone that really wants a real room- don’t assign them to bedroom 10 (lesson learned haha)
Not enough of a negative to outweigh all the great things about this place but just be eyes open about that part!
Strong recommendation overall

Amazing location, great family reunion spot, but needs some TLC
This was a great location and we had a wonderful family reunion! The kitchen and porch with a hot tub are amazing!! We recommend this location for another family, but the place does need some attention and upkeep. The pull out sofa beds are broken and the sofa bed mattresses were very uncomfortable. The rooms are small and a bit dark. The beach/park access is great tho and overall the good outweighed everything else!!
The property was excellent for a family reunion. Large kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, large living area adjacent to kitchen for gatherings and wonderful view of Lake Tahoe. This property is two story and there are 20 steps to get to the upper level where the living, eating and kitchen area are. The majority of our group (18) were age 70 and older and did find the steps a bit much. Something to consider in booking this property. Overall the property suited us well in our reunion.
Overall, our stay was fantastic. The house was able to accommodate my extended family of 20 people, pets and including children. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, such as a billiards table and table tennis. The location was beautiful, with a stunning view. It was also conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and most importantly, just 5 minutes away from Lake Tahoe.
The only comment I would make is that the house could use some updating/refresh and newer furniture. Despite this, we had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this property to others.
All in all a perfect stay for our family reunion with breathtaking views of the lake.
The house was big enough for our large family reunion to accommodate all comfortably with lots of space when needed. The billiard table and ping pong table provided fun and entertainment. It happened to be unusually hot during our stay for Lake Tahoe and the little AC unit was challenged but we spent most of our time during the day exploring the surrounding area and usually would not be a problem under normal conditions. A few issues came up that needed addressing, however the host Michael made him self available for all my calls and addressed each issue which should not be an issue going forward, as it was taken care of. All in all I am very appreciative of Michael being a responsible host and providing such a beautiful setting for our family to become reacquainted with each other, share meals together and have interesting conversations around the large table inside and outside. All in all I recommend the house for large groups.

Poor condition
If you’re renting this place for a bachelor party then have fun. The pictures presented do not accurately reflect the condition of the premises. The primary couch was absolutely filthy and in no way would we let kids go near it. The carpet needs to be replaced as it is dirty and worn. The grill literally has duct tape holding the handle in place and the bottom fell out when we attempted to grill steaks. I won’t even mention the hot tub. Again duct tape holding the corner together and the water a putrid cloud of grey. Linens need to be replaced as well. We actually left a day earlier because of the conditions I cannot recommend this place at all. Our family has stayed at VRBO properties around the country and in Europe and this is by far the worst place we have stayed. I
I would have given 5 rating but two things made me give less.
I received texts/calls while ON THE WAY to the property asking me to send my credit card and ID picture. Given I was driving and there were areas where my text was not going through due to reception made it a little stressful. This should have been requested when I booked the property weeks before.
The heater was not working when we got there. The host was receptive and sent someone out- however, after the person came to fix it, the downstairs was warm (with the use of the fireplace) but the upstairs remained pretty cold all night. The next day maintenance came again and our second night was much better. I had to ask the host to please adjust the controlled temp to be up to 72 and not 68!
The house is very nice- you do have a lovely view of sunrise and sunset!
The deck was nice for our large group breakfast outside.
Loved that there are two ovens - very useful when cooking for a large group.
We got to see a bear and its cub right outside the property!
I do appreciate that the host was responsive to my requests.
I would recommend this property for a large group.
Great place, but short 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and not enough AC
First, this place is great for a very large group! The hot tub on the deck is fabulous for an early evening soak in the summer.
ROOMS:
However, the listing of "10 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms" is INACCURATE! There are actually only 9 bedrooms and only 4 full bathrooms, NOT 10 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms. The missing room is described in the listing as bedroom 10 with 3 queen beds. That left my group without enough beds. Some has to double up and one member even have to sleep in the living room.
We made it work. But if you are traveling with a large group like us, and your group members are not as flexible as members in my group, you are going to have a situation on your hand as the person responsible for booking and putting the trip together.
COOLING:
There is only one tiny portable Air Conditioning unit installed in the 2nd floor living room. It is not enough to make the place cool enough to sleep during summer nights. Your best bet is to keep all the insect screen equipped windows on the second floor opened, especially the kitchen sink window and one of the bedroom window at each 2nd floor wings of the house. But all your guests will have to sacrifice sleeping privacy to keep the bedroom doors open in order to keep the house cool enough to sleep comfortably. Maybe you won't have this problem on a winter stay at this place.
COOKING:
This place have plenty of ovens and cooking surfaces. We are able to whip up enough food quickly to feed everyone.

The good, the bad and the ugly
The Good:
The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 16. We loved the spacious kitchen, ample seating in the dining room and on the deck, and the incredible view of the lake. Being close to hiking trails was a bonus, and the location is convenient, with shops, grocery store, and restaurants nearby.
The Bad:
The house could use some TLC. One sleeper sofa was broken, and the host said to place a couch cushion under the leg. Another sleeper sofa was horribly uncomfortable. A first-floor shower was held together with duct tape. Additionally, there are many steps in the house, which is challenging for anyone with mobility issues. About 10 days before arrival, the host reached out, saying he needed my signed contract, credit card and drivers license. This was not in the listing.
The Ugly:
The house is not air-conditioned. There is one portable unit in the living room/kitchen, but it was insufficient to cool the entire house and didn’t blow cold air. The host provided additional fans, but they only circulated hot air. The lower level, which the host claimed would stay cool, was also hot. While the layout is great for a large group, the listing is misleading. It is not a lakefront/beachfront house; it’s a 5-minute drive to the beach. Furthermore, the house is not fully air-conditioned, and the air conditioner in the one air-conditioned room didn’t work. He hired a handyman who came out and said the air conditioner was broken, but the host refuses to believe this.
