"The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. "The property was spotless, location was perfect, walkable to shops, town etc. street parking we had no issues but might be issues during busy season. Took a minute but figured out the heating, clearer directions would have sorted this out. We were a family of 6 and the property was perfect for us. Kitchen very well equipped, washing machine, had fire place as well. The beds were super cozy. We stayed 3 nights was perfect location to explore the local area. "

"Good single room in this inn for a traveller at reasonable rate. Great basic breakfast, pay a bit extra for cooked stuff. Lovely friendly staff. I loved the bar atmosphere, a hub for locals and for Welsh singing and music-making (at weekend, when I was there, at least.) Good Celtic kind of "craic"."

"A gem in a Welsh seaside town. The name refers to the patron who gave the first land to the newly formed National trust ( I think). The room was spacious and the bed was excellent. There is air conditioning and the windows are sound proof so little sign of external noise from the high street. The kitchenette was perfect with a seating area for two. There is a private carpark with 6 electric charging points by clenenergy. The restaurant offers a top quality chef with £70 tasting menu"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top (3rd floor) and right at the end of a corridor so was very quiet. However, if I was to stay again I would probably ask for a room on a lower floor due to needing to carry all the bags upstairs. The rooms were clean and well-presented with fresh bedding and towels and there had been some refurbishment to the bathroom and room however I would suggest that the hotel uses mattress protectors to keep the mattresses fresh. The complimentary refreshment tray was well stocked with Welsh Brew, water and biscuits. We were also lucky to get a space on the car park at the rear of the hotel which was a bonus. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we ate in the bar the night before and were disappointed at the quality of the food served. If you are looking for an overnight stay in Bala then I would not hesitate to stop here but would look elsewhere for longer stays."

"Generally the property was nice, however having stayed at similar properties over the years, I think there were a few things which could be improved. These are personal preferences but I think its the smaller touches which make all the difference. For example, it would have been nice if guests were given bath towels rather than the smaller sized towels, with spares available at the property. As the property had a hot tub, robes would have been nice. The tea and coffee selection was very basic. I also felt the beds have seen better days. Generally the property was clean but the kitchen floor felt sticky."
