"I arrived with low expectations after reading several reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this resort. The customer service truly stood out. Carlo, the bell attendant, provided excellent assistance, and Edwin, the bartender, delivered consistently outstanding service. He crafted my Old Fashioned perfectly every time, demonstrating both skill and pride in his work. The dining options were very good overall. The seafood and Italian restaurants were both excellent and highly recommended. The poolside restaurant offered attentive service, though the food quality did not match the other venues. Additionally, despite netting around the restaurant, birds often made their way inside, which was distracting and unappealing. The accommodations are comfortable but dated. The furniture showed noticeable wear and stains, and the mini refrigerator was in need of replacement. A deeper cleaning would also enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these issues, I was still able to enjoy my room. Guests should also be aware that the resort is located approximately one hour from the airport. In summary, while there are areas that could be improved, I had an enjoyable stay and would gladly return in the future."

"First of all, communication by the host and the information provided prior to arriving was excellent. We were given all of the necessary information regarding how to arrive, how to get into the unit, what to expect, etc, as well as additional information about the city, places to visit, etc.When you first walk in, WOW! The views from the 18th floor are incredible. It's an end, corner unit so you see about a 270 degree view, of the mountains, jungle, the cove where the property is located, the pools, & the ocean with the islands & the row of ships waiting to enter the canal. The gym, game room, & pool on the roof were very nice!The property is located about 20-25 min outside the main city so it's close enough to go do tourist activities but far enough away to get away from the hustle & bustle of the big city and just relax.There are about 5 different types of restaurants at the Westin Hotel there on the property to choose from. There are also 4 pools there right next to the beach.If you don't want to eat out, there are several small markets in Vera Cruz (about a 9-10 min drive) where you can buy food to prepare yourself in the unit.The only negative things were: the Netflix stopped working about a day or two before we left. We really didn't have much time to watch TV anyways because we were always out doing something. Also, the closet in the 2nd bedroom is extremely small, but there's a big 5-drawer dresser to put your clothes. I will definitely return here soon!"

"Quiet unit with view of ships going into the canal. We especially enjoyed the pool at the pearl club. Owners and on site manager were quickly responsive to questions."
