"The whole property is way below average. Our floor had carpet being laid and the adhesive smell was bad. The room: lots of paste patches on the walls, unpainted; the bed was poor but the metal furniture, including the bedframe; the lamp did not have a bulb in it; the bathroom had a number of towels but only 1 bath tile, rest much smaller; the shower base had some mold issues at the back; the bath shower door would not close all the way, making large areas of wet tile, no matter how much we tried; there was no soap dish, so where do you lay the soap; I know, on top of the shampoo and conditioner bottles, but they aren't the cleanest and the past guest left their soap on top of the dispensers, where no staff founfyii while "cleaning". Breakfast, really bad except yogurt. Eggs were literally horrible, OJ okay, coffee useable. NOTE, the assistance in the breakfast was very good and the front desk assisted us in letting us use a table when our daughter and husband brought supper over. He wiped the table, showed us where utensils were if needed, and turned on the overhead light. It had bulbs. Overall very disappointed, but you know what do you expect in today's time. "

"A spacious well maintained room that was well equipped. The coffee machine and fridge was very much appreciated. There was no in room safe but I did not feel too concerned about this as it seems a quiet safe area. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice, some may prefer to have more cooked choice but it was more than fine for me. It was quiet and easy to get a good night’s sleep."

"We absolutely loved our stay. The link for the review won’t let me go past 4 stars for a good rating. This house deserves a 5 star excellent rating across the board. We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable beach house! The location was perfect, and the house was incredibly clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. You can tell a lot of thought went into making it feel welcoming and special. The guest book with recommendations was great! The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked—even the pots and pans were great, which you don’t always find in a rental! We especially loved the large back porch. It was such an inviting space to relax and enjoy some downtime.Everything about the house made for an easy, relaxing beach getaway. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Anchor of the Soul was the perfect place for our large family vacation. Even though it is a spacious vacation home, it was perfect for our family. We had seven families, mom and dad, their six children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren and spouses, fiancees, partners/friends and 7 great grandchildren and yet the house made us become even closer.The amenities were adequate for both young and old. There were plenty of pots and pans for cooking, games for kids of all ages, ample chairs for the beach, elevator for the elderly and it also helped with bringing in groceries from the lower level, the pool and hot tub, and bar area were a dream come true. We also enjoyed the ice machine, pop coolers and adequate refrigerator space. What a blessing it was to not have to run to the store for bags of ice.To top it off we had a beautiful view of the beach and ocean!!!!! Nothing beats a South Carolina sunrise in the morning or a hand in hand walk on the beach!!The Mog family consisting of 35 adults and 7 great grandchildren had a vacation they will never ever forget!!! MEMORIES WERE DEFINITELY MADE THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!The Mog Family"
