The location is great! Hotels stuff is helpful. The room is big, clean and has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. However the air conditioner is VERY loud. The bathroom smelled like urine and the shower head didn’t work well. It seems like the holes in the shower head were all clogged.

the hotel is newly renovated, and in a good location within walking distance to both the bus and train station and to Ortigia and even the historical ancient Greek theater. the only downside is there is no lift, you need to carry the luggage up by stairs. the staff Damina is very friendly and helpful, even help us to carry a luggage up.

Excellent location and a clean and renovated apartment. 2 big downsides: 70 stairs walk up to an apartment on 4th floor with laguage !!! WiFi access is very very slow at time up to the point that is not accessible.

The property is situated on the first floor of an old building with no lifts. It is very convenient to the centre and it’s a lovely walk to the sights. Parking can be a little difficult to find so you may have to be ready to walk. Highly recommend the property for a couple nights stay.

Great apartment, great location.

I recently stayed at the Nostos rooms & Apartments in Syracuse, Sicily, Italy. Everything was great including the location, and I have no complaints. When we requested an iron and ironing board, they were brought to our room. There was no bathtub, but the shower was big! I highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet, comfortable and near sites

Very nice, quiet place to stay on a busy street. They were very nice to allow me to check in early. Really just to drop my bag. The door on the street looks a bit drab; but, once you're in it's very clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was strong, so nice to have.

OH MY WORD !!!!! Nostos was over the top awesome !!!! Everything about it was perfect - clean, comfortable, hot shower, super comfortable bed, lots of room and the host was the ultimate in customer service - you have to stay here - we will definitely be back again and again.

The rooms was very clean. In fact, everything looked new, like no one ever stayed there before. I really liked the way the room was laid out and was extremely comfortable. The manager of the property was very helpful. The property is ideally located in that you are quite close to the bus station and train station, but also close to the bridge to Ortiga.

Non existent service. This is more like a Air B&B - absolutely not a family run B&B. We were on a fourth floor walk up. No elevator. No one to ask questions. No breakfast. The room is large and has a stove to cook yourself. The second day, they cleaned the room but left the sink area filthy. Great location to visit Ortigia. Very close walking distance

The apartment is great: modern, renovated, clean. It is three blocks from the bridge to Ortigia, what makes it very convenient. Laundromat and two groceries at the corner, along with several restaurants and a rental car with multiple company options (Alamo, Enterprise, etc). The apartment we stayed was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so the arrival and departure days were tough. The apartment is cleaned every day, the A/C is strong and powerful and wifi worked well. It could have more kitchen utensils, such as pan lids and a sharper knife — but it was a nice option for the pricey apartments in the island of Ortiga.

A modern, clean and spacious apartment inside and old apartment building. Surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Walkable to the island, which is less than a mile to the bridge. It is a longer and more walk hazardous walk to the Roman ruins, but we did it. Parking is very difficult and the host arranged the valet parking, which isn't cheap at 30€ a day. The apartment is on the second floor which means lots of steps to climb. Also the huge bathroom light and fan comes on automatically and that disturbs partner during the night and echoes very loudly. The hot water takes a long time to turn hot. The shower is a rainfall shower and huge, with a separate handset. The bath a large, modern still for 2. The kitchen is very good, except no microwave. It has free water in the fridge as well as freezer, dishwasher and fully equipped. Although more cups and glasses would be nice. I don't think the aircon was working though. It could be the time of year at Easter, like our last stay, but it really should be available.

Getting better after a disappointing start

Just before arriving in Syracuse I I had a painful calf tear and could barely walk or carry my case( ( especially up stairs). The ad hadn't mentioned four flights of stairs( up to the second floor) to my room, so I rang reception before arriving and asked for someone to take my suitcase upstairs. They unfortunately declined, although did change my room to a lower floor( but still two flights) After that things improved, although they have no paper maps of the city. The bedroom was comfortable enough, with a plain corporate decor. Corso Umberto is a wide, plain street, but with some very affordable cafes and small restaurants. But it is one way to traffic, including buses, so it's impossible to catch a bus to Ortigia, where most of the sights are. So I had to walk slowly and painfully to get there ( 20 minutes for me) Reception was otherwise friendly, and did take my case downstairs on checkout
