Waterfront paradise
Cottage Point is one of the most unique and beautiful places I have ever holidayed in. Surrounded by natural beauty Belinda and Paul have created a wonderful getaway with everything you need to relax and unwind. The inclinator down to the property gives an expansive view of the river as you descend to the waters edge. Magical sunsets and active river life were fantastic to watch. A boat hire and kiosk are located nearby for things you might need. The house is amazing! Sparkling clean, comfortable with style and charm. Cant speak highly enough of our hosts who made our stay brilliant! Thanks Belinda and Paul.

Rest and relaxation in a beautiful location
I was looking for the hawksbury river mail Boat as a trip in our five week tour down under when this accommodation popped up. It looked to be a great option before we ended up in the buzz of Sydney for the last five nights of our five week tour down under. Sadly the weather didn’t play ball until the third day when we saw it all in its glory finished off with a beautiful sunset. The inclinator down to the house good fun. Dining at the Cottage Point in. Memorable. Hiring a tinnie from the boat kiosk for three hours simply wonderful. Belinda is a joy to communicate with and we are so glad we rested up at yours

40th Wedding Anniversary
What a magical place to spend celebrating our special anniversary ! The waterside views from this beautiful house are breath taking. We had a lovely relaxing time.But there is plenty of water sports to enjoy if you wish. The house has everything in it you need to have an amazing holiday. The furnishings are gorgeous and the bed is very comfortable. There is a trendy little cafe on a mariner a few minutes down the road and an amazing seafood restaurant that does a degustation that you will feel thoroughly spoilt in indulging in. Belinda & Paul the owners could not have been any friendlier or accomodating. We loved our stay and would really like to go back again.

A very big THANK YOU! to Belinda for a wonderful and memorable stay. The deckhouse is a special place - it is peaceful, tranquil, and has amazing views. I experienced one the most beautiful sunsets there. Belinda is the perfect host. She is meticulous in her work and the deckhouse is spotless and well equipped. Belinda is responsive and I can see her passion in providing a great experience for her guests.

Stunning retreat right on the river
Deckhouse is a really special spot and one we would love to visit again in the future. It's as close to the water as you can get and a really romantic place to spend a weekend for couples

Superb Waterfront Getaway
Wonderful 2-storey house situated on a riverfront. We spent quite a bit of time sitting on the upstairs balcony with our drinks watching the boats, birds and schools of jumping fish pass by. I also had a turn at fishing off the BBQ deck downstairs and kept losing my bait to the fish! The house was very clean and contained everything we needed. Just bring your clothes, food and drinks. There are 2 restaurants and boat hire just a short walk away. Access to the covered carport is via a short steep driveway just past Cowan Drive, then hop into a carriage cage with your bags and take the slow (but fun) ride down the rails to the house.

Beautiful property and location
This is a beautiful property set in the most idyllic location. Belinda made the check-in process very simple and all instructions very clear. The house was lovely and clean and so well equiped. The view was very special and its location so close to Cottage Point Inn and the Kiosk was an added bonus. We would love to visit again.

Impossible to be unhappy at the most beautiful oasis.

Fantastic hosts who could not be more helpful. Situated on the waters edge we both absolutely switched off , great way to finish our holidays. We called the top level our home and the lower level our holiday house. Different and welcome experience moving between each level . Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway
When we first stumbled upon this house on Stayz, it seemed almost too good to be true. We thought there was a catch! Everything was as perfect as it seemed. The house is beautifully furnished with particular attention to all the details for the best comfort. The kitchen contains everything you need. The view is amazing. The location is incredible. Belinda is an excellent host and went way beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Thanks Belinda and Deckhouse at Cottage Point for such a wonderful time! Best getaway place in Sydney We had a fabulous overnight stay at the Deckhouse. The location is only 40 minutes' drive from home and work, but it has one of the best scenic views in Sydney, and provides the tranquil and relaxing moments that we long for. The house is absolutely beautiful and well maintained and decorated. Belinda had been incredibly helpful from the moment that the booking was made and throughout our whole stay. Thank you for making our short holiday so perfect!

Fabulous getaway
Thank you for sharing such a lovely place with us. We had a great weekend with our lovely long lunch at Cottage point inn a definite highlight. Even better it was only a 30 minute drive from home but felt like we were in paradise.

The views were absolutely stunning, and we felt very cocooned on the deck, even though it was pouring with rain around us. Only 40mins drive but a complete world away from Sydney, which was just perfect. The access via the inclinator was a little challenging for someone who doesn't love heights but gees it made it memorable and unique!

A tranquil experience
A beautifully appointed property with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. It is very clean and pleasant to be in, with loads of space, comfortable furnishings and more. Belinda was super helpful in advance of our stay, providing useful information. Although we experienced rain we were able to enjoy the outlook, take in the fresh air and connect with nature. We also enjoyed the bottle of Rose and box of chocolates left for us by Belinda - much appreciated! The view is outstanding and the daybed on the deck was a favourite spot to soak up our appreciation of being in nature. We will be back - it’s a fabulous spot to reenergise and next time we will make use of the kayaks provided.

Deckhouse is a truly amazing place to stay to relax and enjoy the unbelievable views. Belinda and Paul were great hosts. I highly recommend a stay at the Deckhouse, just not when we want to book our next stay. And don’t forget to get yourself a booking for lunch at the Cottage Point Inn (2 doors away) during your stay.

Perfect perfect perfect
This place is a must to put on your bucket list! Human nature is we all have expectations about upcoming things and more often than not things are never quite how we imagined them. And then there’s the deckhouse! Absolutely stunning home with the most perfect views, a perfect spot to relax on the daybed overlooking the water and yachts cruising past. Belinda was truly amazing, always happy to help with whatever questions we had and making sure our stay was perfect. Hot tip, make sure you book a table at the cottage point inn while your there, some of the best food and wine we’ve tasted! The deckhouse is well deserving of 5 stars and we can’t wait to get there again!

Excellent home right on the water!
My family and i recently stayed at the Deckhouse for a week. Upon arrival the experience starts with an interesting entry to the house via an inclinator. Once inside the property we were blown away by the views and location. It's in a great part of the river and the local kiosk and boatshed provides some food and boating options. Very relaxing week and helpful owners. We had a great holiday! Andrew

Perfect week for relaxation
We had a lovely stay at the Deckhouse. Belinda and Paul were great hosts and always anticipating things we might need. They even helped us out when we got into a bit of a pickle! We went for lots of kayaks and spent time just enjoying the sunset on the balcony. We brought plenty of food so only needed to go out once in 7 days for a small top up. You definitely don't want to miss the chance of a sunset by going to get food. 5 star place, would recommend!

Gorgeous getaway
My partner & I stayed at Cottage Point in the Deckhouse as a weekend getaway for his birthday. The location is superb with the house being right on the water (you almost feel like you could be floating on the wharf). The house is very tidy, immaculately clean, well appointed and we found the beds to be very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful & responsive to any questions we had. The house was really well set up for 2 couples with 2 double rooms on separate levels. It is also 3 doors down from the Cottage Point Inn which we had dinner there & was superb dining. Tranquillity
A sense of calm engulfed us from the moment we started our descent on the inclinator. Stress and anxiety were swept away with the tides as was sat and watched the world pass by with a peaceful mind. A beautiful part of the world we got to share with family.

Perfect getaway
Our family (late teens) had a very enjoyable long weekend at the Deckhouse. It was perfect for getting away from it all and ideally appointed for the eating and chilling out sufficient to quietly celebrate my husband's birthday. We were fortunate to have brilliant summer days and the water was perfect for kayaking and swimming with surrounding landscape looking glorious after all the rain. The upstairs living room and deck allows for observing an assortment of craft on the water including seaplanes. Inside, it has everything required with two levels for sleeping and a BBQ and outdoor dining downstairs. Every detail was taken care of. And, of course, we were able to dine in style two doors down at the "Inn", which is a must! We will return!

Belinda and Paul were very much reachable and responsive right since we booked the property. The property is located on the waters and it is just so beautiful. It has all the things you need, so just walk-in and enjoy the views. We would definitely visit once again.

Great Location and Accommodation.
A terrific place to stay right on the water. The accommodation was great and the property very well appointed. Ideal for two couples wanting a quiet getaway. The hosts Belinda and Paul were extremely helpful. They offered to make their mooring available should we decide to bring our boat to Cottage Point.
