Lovely little cottage
Great location very close to town. We needed a one night stay so itvwas oerfect. We couldn't get heater to work but wasnt that cold so probably not needed

Short stay in the Blue Mountains
Steve was the perfect host. The cabin had all we needed for our short stay is is located conveniently 10 mins walk from town and close to many of the Blue Mountain’s highlights including Echo Point and Scenic World. Would highly recommend this property.

Pleasant stay in a convenient location.

Cozy Mountain Stay
We loved our time here. Short walk to the Main Street. A good base if you’re in to hiking and seeing the surrounding areas. The cottage was perfect for us and our little pup. We had everything we needed, everything well taken care of and a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring.

Pet Friendly cozy accommodation
Host sent through all important information of the property weeks out from our check in date and assisted with providing places to eat out on Xmas day. They were able to let me know that we could check in before 2pm. Parking right outside the door - easy to unpack /pack the car. Lovely cosy accommodation with all the comforts of home. Great paths to walk the dog and there is a new aquatic centre at the end of the road. Town centre and all attractions are within 5min drive. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice place at a perfect location
The place was cozy and perfect for our family of four. It was close to the City center and all tourist spots. We were planning to stroll around the area on foot but couldn't take much advantage of the location as it was raining all 3 days :( But that didn't put us off as the cottage was perfect. It was renovated and done with a very modern taste, not to forget the bathroom. Neat and tidy. Very happy that I got this place to stay and I will recommend to anyone that is looking at the mountains!

Perfect home-base for our 3 days in the Blue Mountains
We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again as soon as we can. The cottage is small but has all we needed, particularly loved having cooking and laundry facilities! Great location, close to main street of Katoomba short walk to the swimming pool and a short drive to so many beautiful sites around the area. Our trek to Minni Ha Ha Falls was spectacular... and we still have a load of spots on the "to do list" for next trip. Thanks Stephen!

Property is neat & tidy, cozy. Kitchen & Lounge area was much smaller & cramped than expected (from online photos) TV positioning could have been at eye level rather than looking up, which strains the neck. Over all a good place to stay in the weekend.

Warm and cosy
The cottage was lovely and cosy, making for an enjoyable stay. Everything that you may need such as cleaning supplies, linen, utilities and entertainment has been well thought of and provided. We really appreciated the extra touches like chocolates in the fridge and comfy blankets on the couches. The neighbourhood was quiet and a great location for anyone wanting to stay close to the town centre. There was however one problem we faced. The online listing specified that the place is pet friendly, something we were purposely looking for while finding accomodation. I also reassured this in the pre check in email, stating that the yard was fully enclosed and suitable for pets. Unfortunately this was not the case. Although there was a fence and gate closure, the fence was very low. The brick wall at the front was also too low to contain a dog or pet. We ended up having to buy a rope from Woolworths to keep him secure, whilst planning our activities so that he would be with us as much as possible. With this being said, unless the need for pet security is your priority, it was a great stay and I would highly recommend the property to my family and friends. Thank you to the owners for providing a cosy and lovely place for us. I would just kindly ask you would reconsider the wording in the listing to explain that the yard is not enclosed.

Thank you for your review. Regards our wording yes we are pet friendly in both Cottages, however this is our wording which you read when booking. It explains our Back Cottage that has the fully fenced garden. Below is a copy and paste of what you read on our booking site. Apologies for any confusion. Careel Cottages are located on the South side of Katoomba just a short walk from the vibrant Main Street with all of the cafes, restaurants and shops. You will also be close to the main attractions. The Three Sisters only a 5 Minute drive. Our Front Cottage can host a maximum of up to 4 guests. We also have a Trave Cot for those travelling with an infant. So if you are wanting to enjoy a stay in the mountains with the convenience of being close to everything and not breaking your budget then Careel Cottages will not disappoint. The FRONT COTTAGE consists of 2 BEDROOMS with QUEEN size beds in both. The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of space in the lounge/dining area and the warmth of the natural gas real flame log fire adds that final touch. The kitchen is a galley style contemporary themed design with everything you need to entertain and cook at home. The FRONT COTTAGE has been renovated in 2016 and has a new bathroom and great new outdoor deck with BBQ. TV 42" LED HD. FOXTEL is provided in BOTH cottages as well as free to air and digital channels. Free NBN Wi Fi is supplied for our guests in BOTH cottages. All LINEN IS PROVIDED. If you are looking for a little more space then check out our BACK COTTAGE. It is the original property built in the 1940's which we have now fully renovated.. It comprises of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is PET FRIENDLY being fully fenced with a good sized garden. There is a great undercover deck with BBQ and a quality outdoor setting. Fully equipped kitchen with induction cooktop, oven and microwave Free unlimited WiFi is available. PLUS A NEW OUTSIDE ENTERTAINING AREA WITH BBQ. FANTASTIC FOR RELAXING AT HOME AFTER A LONG DAY ENJOYING THE MOUNTAINS. ALL LINEN IS PROVIDED. Cosy little cottage
The property was spotless and exactly as pictured on the website. We were able to check in earlier than expected and the owner of the property was very understanding and accommodating when we had a slight change of plans. Location was perfect for exploring the blue mountains and all it has to offer. Overall a wonderful experience.

Careel Cottage Recharge
Perfect cottage for my escape from Sydney with my pet pug Jet. Idyllic afternoons in the sun on the deck before a late walk at the park across the road. The cooler evenings snuggled in front of the wonderful fire. We will visit again soon. Thanks.
