1) If you are a short-term or solo traveler I would avoid. Everyone I met was staying in the hostel long-term and not necessarily trying to meet new people. 2) I asked for a quieter room if possible. I was placed in a room on the first floor next to the community areas. People were yelling and music was blaring very late. I can sleep through anything so not a huge deal for me, but still annoying. 3) I’ve stayed in many hostels and this one just felt gross and dirty. Common areas are way too crowded. Fridges are jam packed. Originally booked 4 nights here and left after 1. Didn’t get a refund, but had a 1000x better experience at the Sydney Harbour YHA. Would highly recommend spending a few extra dollars than staying here, it’s not worth ruining your trip.

Its a very nice and cheap place to stay. Well, always book online bc the service just wants you to charge more even if you are a longterm. An other point is for example that pancakes are promised from 9-11 or something but after 10 am there aren’t any more left and all the people who woke up late don’t get any pancakes. There is also no non dairy milk option at breakfast. And some people just take overnightguests home and are having sex with people from other hostels in your room, not taking care about anyone. Normally it’s not allowed to take non adys guests home over night but the service doesn’t care about that. It also doesn’t really care if people are stealing your stuff from the fridge and the cameras aren’t in every direction of the fridges. All in all the hostel is very good for its price, the rooms are clean and the cleaners are cleaning all the time. The Tv room is sometimes a bit smelly but that’s the only thing and the kitchen isn’t the biggest. The opportunities to go out with the hostel are very great and the pancakes are good and also the bbq. But the cheese of the bbq is also always empty if you aren’t one of the first people who eat. the rooftop is the best about the hostel and the evenings there as well! So you should def give it a try

I'd recommend not to expect much on this accom, you get what you pay for. I've stayed in a female dorm room on the ground floor & the room is pretty damp and there's some smell of piss coming from the outside and it never got away. The bathroom is quite filthy & has not much privacy nor ventilation, the shower is either too hot or the shower valve too tight to control the temp. Also, I've spotted a cockroach lurking at the corner of the bathroom.

Nice people. Not enough room for all the people. They clean a lot. Building needs renovation. Many food for free offers. Good if you are looking for a cheap stay.

Absolutely loved Adys
I stayed in Adys for 2 weeks visiting some friends. I absolutely loved every minute of it! There is such a lovely family atmosphere there! The place is kept clean, all the staff are lovely and the location is amazing! Highly recommend! Would stay here again In a heart beat!

The room (104) was a real mess. There was even an used tampon on the sink... in the bathroom of that same room! there was also a coacrach in the kitchen. I liked the staff and the location of the hostel

Not a good backpacker hostel
The dorm room was small. Bathroom and toilets were too small and always full of people near the sink. The place is so noisy with loud and drunk residents. The toilet paper quickly runs out. Shared kitchen is dirty.

A nice hostel with friendly staff. The air in the room was very bad, but the dorm was all in all in good condition. Will absolutely consider staying there again if I come back to Sydney.

Good for a long stay and person who travel solo.
It is ok. I talked with the roommate pretty easily. And it is a way that most young students can explore the world without ruin their deposit, and all by their own efforts. And keep fit, they can't eat too much. And quite good looking. But the most important thing, is that the breakfast is included with this price. But young people , even the most terrible in cooking, they enjoy and share this moment together. I think it is quite encouraging for their confidence though. To learn that every effort pays.

Very comfortable stay, good mattress and linen, quite room (apart from the morning cleaners chatting loudly in the corridor!), free brekky and good wifi connection make it a comfortable place to stay at a very reasonable price. Reception open till late and staff are polite and friendly. Good TV room.

Good rooms, clean. Friendly people working at the hostel, very helpful. Only downside would be that the kitchen is a bit small. If you avoid cooking at busy hours you'll be fine.

Amazing place to stay and get connected to other travellers. For the price, this place offered much more than most hostels including cleanliness, free breakfast, and events every single night. This is a very social place and is impossible not to make friends. It's also close to public transport to get you anywhere in Sydney.

The hostel is an old building converted into a hostel. The effort is appreciated as the rooms with 6 beds are slightly cramped, but as long as your roommates keep their stuff in the lockers, you should be ok. The rooms do not have air conditioning or heating so you may want to take that into consideration. The bathrooms are ok, but there is only one sink per bathroom, one bath, one shower, and the stalls are extra tight. You'll have to stand almost right over the toilet to close the door. The baths may or may not have curtains. If there isn't a curtain, then there's a door to the bathtub area, but then water gets everywhere. Also, the shower in my bedroom had very lukewarm water which is a little hard to deal with during the winter. The people there are awesome, though. Very friendly and helpful. There's an event almost every night. Everyone staying there is great as well. If you want minimal accommodations for the right price, then this place is for you.

Hidden Gem in Sydney
The staff were really friendly and super helpful! The rooftop was beautiful and the staff keep the place really clean. The location is amazing for access to most of Sydney's main attractions. You're within walking distance to everything you need. I will definitely be returning here.

여성전용 8인 1실에 5일밤 머물렀습니다! 잘 있다 왔어요!! 가격 대비 괜찮았어요~ 직원들 정말 친절했어요~!! 방 안에 화장실 있었고 복도에도 화장실있었습니다 2층 침대 조금 삐걱거리긴 했지만 괜찮았어요~ 바선생은 있습니다.. 매일 청소 깨끗히 해주시지만 밖에서 들어오는 것 같네요..
