Hampton Inn Princeton

Hampton Inn Princeton

10/10 Excellent
"The staff that checked us in were extremely pleasant and helpful. When we arrived they were assisting an older couple who had a lot of questions about the area and they were extremely patient, polite and informative. One stopped and attended to us. Check in was a breeze. The staff the next morning were cheerful and everyone was very accommodating and attentive to the guests. The room could use a tad bit touching up and painting in some areas, but nothing too concerning. We would stay there again."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Switchback?
The best time to visit Switchback is during the warmer months, roughly from late May to early October, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.

During this period, the temperatures are generally mild to warm, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty, such as hiking the trails in the nearby Appalachian Mountains or visiting the historic Pocahontas Exhibition Mine. The summer months, particularly July and August, also see the most daylight hours, allowing for longer days of sightseeing and activities.

For those interested in the area's rich history and mining heritage, visiting outside of winter ensures that all attractions, including outdoor exhibits and guided tours, are fully operational and easily accessible.
