"This cabin is perfect for a small family with a car. It’s in the middle of everything. It’s a basic house but has everything you need- nice hot shower, cooking utensils, camp fire, etc. I still dream of the naps we had on the sofa. The surroundings are peaceful with lots of deer strolling by. "

"We stayed at the Boathouse for our honeymoon and it was everything we wanted and more. The space is rustic yet comfortable and has a kitchenette that allowed us to make breakfast in the mornings and enjoy coffee and tea alongside our favorite feature, the wood stove. The shower had hot water and the outhouse was comfortable. We were able to unplug from it all and left feeling so rejuvenated. Hope to be back soon!"

"I cannot say enough good things about this rental, the property owner, or the location. The owner was very responsive to any needs we had. The location was PERFECT, not just for access to the water, but also for access to local restaurants and. Would happily stay here again in a heartbeat."

"The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden...

"The property in Surry was just perfect for our use. The property is one of 3 manufactured homes on this property. The rental was clean, comfortable and perfect for the two of us. The dogs had property to roam, plenty of ammentities in the house to never want to camp again, the the water access was amazing to go down and have coffee in the morning. "Five stars for this budget-friendly motel in an ideal location in busy Bar Harbor! We stayed four nights while cycling through Acadia National Park. It was a short ride to the park and an even shorter walk to the bars and restaurants in BH. Natalle and Susie in the office were wonderful and made sure that there was always hot coffee available. Our rooms were spotless. "
