This is a classic mid century motel. Decent mattress, great classic tub, clean and bug free. So it served the purpose of a place to stay the night before the MDI marathon. Would recommend.

The staff was welcoming and the room was clean. Yet the room was also dingy, the floor sloped noticeably and the owner should really reinvest some of the takings to spruce up the rooms.

Pictures on site is NOT the rooms you get. Panels are split, carpet is old and worn. Room door is split in places and can see light coming in frame. Smells of mold, a lot of it. No water pressure in shower. Bates Motel would be ashamed. Front staff were very nice.

Clean and cheap.

Hotel was clean. My only complaint is our room smelled weird. Not so bad you couldn't stay there but just not fresh. Hotel rooms are small but cute. Our shower drained very slow so we had long delays in between showers. Room and hotel were fine and assuming for the price isn't a bad deal. No frills.

Ask for a refurbished room. Old rooms need help but they are better than tent camping. Our room was small with an even smaller bathroom, only one person at a time to do anything. The bed was good. The door had a broken part that you could see outside. All in all it was worth the money.

Quality was about as expected for this price. We didn’t need anything special since we were spending long days in Acadia. The place was clean and had daily house keeping. Very out dated and some broken ceiling tiles, but clean. AC worked great. The room fit our need perfectly and didn’t break the bank

Clean, quiet, parking, good price for the area. The staff I did engage with were very friendly and helpful. Dislikes were no amenities, had to drive from site to get coffee and the lighting in the room was weirdly placed.

The room we stayed in was dated, but clean. The bathroom is super tiny, but serves its purpose. It was quiet and uneventful, which I prefer. Staff was friendly, but hard to locate as they were not on sight, but showed up within minutes of calling.

This hotel would have been greatly outdated in the 1970's - The tile is falling off the floor in the bathroom, sink was hanging off of the wall, you practically need a ladder to get into the bathtub in what was supposed to be an accessible room, and their idea of art was old gift shop photo style placemats attached to the walls, and walls are paper thin so you hear everything. The office was closed most of the time, and no coffee made 1 of the two mornings we were there. There was a large skunk hanging out just outside of our room door for much of our stay, which made coming and going difficult. This was probably the most overpriced motel I have ever stayed in out of the many hundreds of places I have visited. The area it is located in is pretty convenient though to both sides of Acadia NP and to Bar Harbor, and much cheaper, than most other motels that close, but over all frankly I would never stay here again.

It turns out they are right next to the Bar Harbor Lobster Pound (which is one of the main reasons we come to Maine). Nice folks in the office and the room was ok, bed was comfortable.

Despite other negative reviews, while the property was very worn out, it was clear that they made every effort to keep it clean. Easy check in and out, and right next to a terrific lobster pound/restaurant.

The property, like the building, was practical, not beautiful, but the staff was friendly and professional,the rooms were quiet (even the bikers staying there came and went without revving their engines) and everything I needed was provided. It was an excellent value and I would stay there again.
