"Very beautiful place on the lake. We enjoyed the sunset on the lake dock. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is shared for our room with another , but very clean ( Note: there are rooms with private bathrooms too , if you like) . We had to leave early for a tour in the morning and the host was very accommodating even though the breakfast time is later, she made a very good breakfast to go and left in the kitchen for us to pick up and go."

"This hotel has it all! The location is perfect, gym with sauna and steam room was luxurious, and bars and restaurants exceptional. We stayed a couple of nights before our cruise out of Whittier. We rented e-bikes a few steps away and traveled Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to Kincaid park and back, since the trail starts right near the hotel. While the hotel was busy with travelers, I was impressed by the Pantry’s hostess’s ability to accurately time the wait for our table. She said 20 minutes and I wondered “actually 20” or “restaurant 20” since I’ve experienced 20 turn to 40 in other places. We set a timer and she called our name 30 seconds before it ended. We enjoyed drinks and lunch at Fletcher’s. The Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned was on point. All meals were well portioned and delicious. Clean, generously sized rooms. Kudos to the entire staff at Captain Cook’s -experienced and dialed in, taking care of everyone. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful locations over looking Lake Lucille. Room was clean and comfortable. We had difficulty with the heat but gentleman on staff can down a couple times to be sure we were comfortable, even bringing an extra quilt. Very accommodating! Chop House, which is attached to the property was expensive but good. They accommodated us but putting salmon on the salad, which was not on the menu! Would definitely go again!"

"Great cozy property on big lake. The cranes wondering around were spectacular. Soaking in the outdoor hot tub after a long day walking was so great. The cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything we could need. So quite the whole time as well."
