School Girls Spring Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There’s a group of school girls that we all graduated together and we take three trips every year. We have stayed in this house many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. This time I noticed a lot of things really needed some updating, such as the screen on the porch was pushed out, many dated appliances and things in the kitchen, and most of all the Elevator. Several times the elevator did not work correctly and we had to call, and even when we were checking out, I personally got stuck on there for almost 7 minutes was it loaded full of luggage and it would not move. You were very helpful about coming out and I had no problem with that, but it was so very inconvenient. We’re all 76 or older with many having several disabilities, and it’s gotten too difficult to try to get up 18 stairs to the third floor bedrooms. I’m not sure what we will do in the future because we again think the house is very special.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Washed Ashore is beautiful and functional. It is clean and has a well-stocked kitchen. The pool is small but refreshing. A portion of the pool is in the shade which is nice on hot days. Unfortunately, this home has recently been priced out of our price range and we will not be able to return next year.

washed ashore was a stinky house

upon arriving we were met with a very strong perfume smell. As the smell dissipated we were met with a cat urine smell that was so powerful it triggered a migraine as I am a migraine sufferer. for the rest of the trip my husband and I had to put lotion under our noses to sleep at night and hold our breath when having to go up to the third floor bedroom. our guests who stayed upstairs on the 4rd floor also had to do the same thing. We called Sea Star and they sent over cleaning ladies to clean the floors that left our feet black within an hour of being there. Also, sent over some one to fog the upstairs to try and rid of the smell. He also confirmed it was a cat urine smell. unfortunately it didn't work. Stuck there for the week it was not enjoyable at all.....I'm sure this house has had this problem for a long time. Upsetting they would not fix the problem permanently..

Above and Beyond Our Expectations

We rented Washed Ashore at the end of April 2016. The photos on the website do not even do this magnificent house justice!! The house has beautiful wood floors throughout which was ideal for a beach vacation with children. The artwork through the entire house was beautiful. Everything was perfectly maintained and in pristine condition. We thank you so very much for making our stay memorable and wonderful for our family.

Spring Break 2016

My family of 10 stayed at Washed Ashore just last week. We have stayed in the Surfside Beach area many times and this has been our favorite location. It is a beautiful house and in great condition. Everything looked freshly painted, the furniture and bedding was all almost brand new, and we loved that the main floor porch was enclosed and allowed direct access to the pool and the ocean. Sea Star Realty was great to work with. It was so nice to have all of the beds already made and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. We would love to stay here again!!
